  11. Next, revisiting this second disc from the band Artemis. Artemis “Arboresque” Blue Note cd
  12. A cool morning, it’s early, eerily quiet and still. I love living off the beaten path. Starting off with another disc from “Enjoying the Ride,” the most recent Grateful Dead big box set. Oakland Coliseum Arena, Oakland, CA (12/27/89) (disc 3) 254×200 12.1 KB
  13. I think this is Joshua Redman’s first for Blue Note, “Words Fall Short.” I really like it.
  14. Blossom Dearie “Blossom Time at Ronnie Scott’s” Fontana/Universal Japan SHM-CD Such a great listen. For a Ronnie Scott’s recording, pretty darned good. Blossom Dearie – piano, vocals Jeff Clyne – double bass Johnny Butts – drums Recorded 1966
  15. Jethro Tull “Still Living in the Past” cd 3 (mostly Steven Wilson 2025 remixes of sides 3 and 4 of the original 2 LP set)

  18. Back at the stereo for a bit. Pulled out Dexter Gordon "Our Man in Paris" 24 Bit by RVG Blue Note Japan cd Earl "Bud" Powell on the piano chair makes this a special session. There are perhaps better sounding digital editions, but I still like this one, it's "earthy" sounding to me.

  21. Miles Davis “Water Babies” Sony Blu-Spec CD2 I was so excited when this LP was first released. And I remain excited about this music!
  22. Two different Kurt Elling albums. First: “Dedicated to You: Kurt Elling sings John Coltrane and Johnny Hartman” Then “Superblue: Guilty Pleasures, Vol. 2”
  23. Bill Evans “Some Other Time: The Lost Session From The Black Forest” Resonance 2 cd set, disc 2
  24. Bob Dylan “Time Out of Mind” Sony Blu-Spec CD2 This is such an amazing, powerful album. The new remix is good, but I find that I prefer the original mix–maybe because I have had it so long, but maybe because the swampy density of the sound just seems appropriate for the material. I’ll never tire of this work–the songs, the sequencing, the mood.
