Texas birds are like that. There's a momma Mockingbird right now two buildings away with a nest near a sidewalk throughfare going to a parking garage that attacks walkers by (divebombs them). Several have been so startled that they fall down and two have hurt themselves (a little). We can't remove the bird nest, it's a protected state bird near a state building. BUT I saw three young ones on a treebranch near the nest starting to spread their wings and fly, so we'll soon not have the problem. . . til next spring. This is the second year of pedestrian terrorizing!

Mine undoubtedly needs a new battery, but it worked the last four times I changed the battery. However, I don't wear a watch but about once every three years! And I actually prefer my old Timex "GI Issue" looking watch with the olive drab nylon web strap. . . .

The Mosaic cd set is light on the bass on almost all sessions, and has an edginess I wish weren't there. . . . The Connoisseurs of the individual titles released so far are an improvement on the Mosaic cd soung.

You know it's interesting. . . the TOCJ I have of this title is a Ron McMaster remaster!

It's BETTER. "That much" is hard to say because that's hard to qualify, it is to my ears better, less smoothed out, a hair more dynamic.

Though I say that as a big McDonald fan, but I'm more a fan of Chandler. No one writes like that! When he was ON he was untouchable.

But isn't that also McDonald modeling himself after Chandler's Marlowe who you really don't know that much about, and the Op of Hammett's who is an enigma entirely personal history wise?

I'm with Mark. The two years I spent in American high school are the low point of my life. The only friends I made were with the freaks, and they haven't attended any of the reunions since 1973 either. I never was rarely among people I had less in common with. I couldn't wait to leave that place and I'll not go anywhere near that assembled group if I don't have to.

This is fantastic music, and this is the best version of the material I've heard (sonicswise!) Recommended!

Ironically he is going to appear in the two hour season finale of CSI tomorrow night, directed by Quinton Tarantino! Tarantino especially wanted him for the part. . . .

I'd love to have a reunion with my old mates at Waterford-Kamhlaba School in M'Babane, Swaziland! But I haven't gone to any of the reunions that were held by my class of Berkshire High School, Burton, Ohio since our 1973 graduation. . . .

Oh I definitely think the producers through the judges ARE pushing the white performers. . . . I'm not saying that Vonzell ISN'T generic, I just think she's more talented than the others, and she appeals to me ten times more. Ironically, I think that without that nudge Carrie and Bo may not have been in the top three. The public that seems to tune in to Idol in droves and vote have in fact voted for R and B singers over white rocker and country persons in the past seasons.

I'm with you Mike, on all points. I've seen one too many Bo. Hell, I had to suffer auditions for one too many Bos in my garage in the eighties!

Well, I'm not really much of a Moitian fan, and I really disliked a lot of his playing on "I'm All For You." BUT loved everyone else!

Mine too. I loved "I'm All For You" partly because it WAS all ballads. (None of them plodded . . . or thudded.) Hank Jones really shone on that release. I have dozens of cds with Hank on board and this is one of the best of them. His comping on it is just amazing! Moitian I had the most problem with, but may have less of a problem on non-ballads.

Well, Vonzell Solomon is still in the running at least til tonight. . . . I really think there's a big chance she'll go home tonight which is a shame because I favor her over the other two. Carrie has never done anything for me and Bo is just boring for me.

Classmates.com is in the employ of all our spouses, making sure we CANNOT so EASILY contact old girlfriend/boyfriends. They make a lot of money in volume!
