  1. Marquis Hill “Modern Flows Vol. 2” This one again–it is sounding so good.
  2. Marquis Hill “Modern Flows Vol. 2”
  3. “Sweet Blossom Dearie” Fontana/UHQCD Japan Recorded live at Ronnie Scott’s with Blossom at the piano in a trio format, this is a good one.
  4. According to wikipedia, March 1958
  5. Well, Jerry really gets into those scales he runs on "El Paso," and Phil does some wild stuff--I was listening to one last week where he was creating some new style of western funk.
  6. And "El Paso." Some of those got very interesting.
  7. You're welcome. Can't go wrong with Immanuel and Joel in the mix. NP Grateful Dead,“Here Comes Sunshine 1973” disc 17, RFK Stadium show second set The only “Dark Star” in the box set.
  8. Sonny Clark Leapin’ and Lopin’ Blue Note, from the Sonny Clark Mosaic cd box set I haven’t played this session in a while and forgot its powerful performances.
  9. John Coltrane “Ballads” Impulse/Universal Japan SHM-SACD 2023 Listening to this one again. Have to admit it is one fine sounding disc. The depth of the sound field is represented very well.
  10. Blossom Dearie “That’s Just the Way I want to Be” Fontana lp facsimile SHM-CD, Japan Just got in all six of the Blossom Dearie discs released in Japan Friday. Beautiful LP facsimiles and a 2 cd digipak set.

  14. Tom Harrell “Passages” Chesky cd Quite a band! Bass – Peter Washington Drums – Paul Motian Flute – Cheryl Pyle Percussion – Café Piano – Danilo Perez Tenor Saxophone, Alto Saxophone, Soprano Saxophone – Joe Lovano Trumpet, Flugelhorn, Composed By – Tom Harrell
  15. Birthday boy.
  16. Jack Teagarden “Think Well of Me” Verve Elite cd This music again, this time on cd. In this case they are both great. The LP is a bit more “laid back” and atmospheric. This cd is focused and more room-filling with detailed strings and harp and the sound of Jack’s trombone (how I love that sound!) is big and dynamic. Don Goldie’s trumpet is also brilliant and full. (Man that guy can play). I’m glad I have both formats. One day maybe I’ll grab a mono LP.
  17. John Coltrane “A Love Supreme” SHM-SACD Universal Japan 2023 Sound is very good.
  18. Chet Baker “Stairway to the Stars” Prestige cd The Prestige Sessions of Chet Baker produced some great Chet.
  19. This one is new to me, and very nice. Simon Belelty “Pee Wee” JoJo Records cd
  20. Stan Getz “East of the Sun: the West Coast Sessions” 3 cd set, disc 2 600×604 92.2 KB I used to ignore this cd set because of brightness. Now with the Decware ZROCK2 tubed EQ component in my system(s) it can be made to sound just right.
  21. I sell or give away many duplicates, some I keep and compare. I have lots of time on my hands and I am interested in music playback. It's rather easy to google SACD if interested.
  22. Walter Smith III “Return to Casual” Blue Note cd
  23. I've seen the series a few times. If I had my druthers it would have been great if it had ended at the end of Season 4, and the final season didn't happen. I enjoyed that season least.
