  4. Well, it would have been hard for "Blues Blood" to make an early 2024 impact as it was released October 11!
  5. Miles Davis “Directions” Columbia 2 LP set, LP 2 200×200 7.67 KB
  6. John Mayall “Jazz Blues Fusion–Performed and Recorded Live in Boston and New York” Polydor cd I saw John with this band. Freddie Robinson was really really impressive. Bass – Larry Taylor Guitar – Freddy Robinson, John Mayall Harmonica – John Mayall Percussion – Ron Selico Piano – John Mayall Saxophone – Clifford Solomon Trumpet – Blue Mitchell
  7. Another Blue Note. I was surprised lately to read on two forums that this one is not that well-liked. I’ve always liked it in the various editions I’ve had, and love the sound of this SHM-SACD release from last year. bobby Hutcheson “San Francisco” Blue Note Japan 85th Anniversary SHM-SACD
  8. Immanuel Wilkins "Blues Blood"
  9. Donald Byrd (-Pepper Adams Quintet) “At the Half Note Cafe, Vol. 1” Blue Note Japan 24 Bit by RVG UCCQ-9292
  10. Right now, COLD! The thermometer says 6 degrees. Sheesh! Starting off with Donald Byrd (-Pepper Adams Quintet) “At the Half Note Cafe, Vol. 2” Blue Note Japan cd TOCJ-6649 This would have been a great night to be at the Half Note.
  11. You can purchase a DVD copy on amazon. That's a brave archeress putting up with a cobra coiled around her leg!
  12. Dexter Gordon “Clubhouse” TOCJ Blue Note LTE Series cd Japan
  13. I used to say I was glad I lived now in Ohio where there were no wild fires or tornados. Then two years ago I was awakened by a tornado going through my neighborhood. We got lucky, no damage. Another neighbor we are close to (in both senses of the word) got lucky because a tree fell inches from hitting her garage. Other neighbors suffered damage.
  14. I don't really know what the additional material was meant to be. I tried to get Cuscuna to tell me about it but all I got from his was no, this was not going to be coming out. What we have had issued is the original recording, not the television broadcast material.
  15. Dexter Gordon “Landslide” TOCJ LTE Series cd
  16. I would really like to see issued the additional material that would have been on the two cd set of "A Drum is a Woman" that was planned, even advertised in cd inserts, from Columbia just before Phil was fired.
  17. I really enjoy the only vocals here, by Jimmy Rushing and Joe Williams. Seems the set is on back order for a few weeks, selling well I guess. I'm happy to see Mosaic in such a healthy stance the last two years.
  18. “The Magnificent Thad Jones” Blue Note Japan 85th Anniversary UHQCD Sounds great! (Though I’ve always found this title to sound great–I’ve kept and will still keep my 24 bit by RVG version).
  19. Stepped outside a few minutes with Fiona the miniature dachshund. Man it's cold and crisp! Surprised three deer in the driveway. Right now "Booker Little 4 and Max Roach" Blue Note Japan 85th Anniversary UHQCD
  20. Miles Davis “Directions” 2 LP set, LP 1 200×200 7.67 KB
  21. Cannonball Adderley “Discoveries” Savoy Jazz LP 375×389 37.3 KB
