  2. Miles Davis “Water Babies” Sony Blu-Spec CD2 I was so excited when this LP was first released. And I remain excited about this music!
  3. Two different Kurt Elling albums. First: “Dedicated to You: Kurt Elling sings John Coltrane and Johnny Hartman” Then “Superblue: Guilty Pleasures, Vol. 2”
  4. Bill Evans “Some Other Time: The Lost Session From The Black Forest” Resonance 2 cd set, disc 2
  5. Bob Dylan “Time Out of Mind” Sony Blu-Spec CD2 This is such an amazing, powerful album. The new remix is good, but I find that I prefer the original mix–maybe because I have had it so long, but maybe because the swampy density of the sound just seems appropriate for the material. I’ll never tire of this work–the songs, the sequencing, the mood.
  6. One for All “Too Soon to Tell” Sharp Nine cd I believe this is their first as an outfit, sounding quite appropriate after the Harrell disc.
  7. Starting off a deliciously cool morning with some cool and sophisticated music . . . sounding so so good. Tom Harrell “Prana Dance” High Note cd Wayne Escoffrey and Johnathan Blake are so good here, as always.
  8. IMMANUEL WILKINS, KENDRICK SCOTT, GERALD CLAYTON, JOEL ROSS, MATT BREWER “OUT OF/INTO–Motion I” Blue Note cd I sure hope there is a followup release from this excellent group.

  14. A thunderstorm woke us up and I for one had a hard time going back to sleep so I got up to do some listening. This solo piano disc (like the other three in the series on Adventure Music) is fascinating and in great sound and perfect for this time of the day/night. Great selections as well–a few originals and well chosen pieces.   24. I too have dropped pounds and now the T-Shirts I have of this series are bigger than necessary! Too bad, but not too bad.
