  2. With Marc Copeland and Joey Baron. More and more I am amazed by the late Gary Peacock. He was an amazing technician and also so very lyrical and musical.

  4. Cool and oh so quiet. I love living here. . . so few neighbors, so many trees. I hope I never have to move. Starting off by re-listening to disc 1 of Mosaic’s new release, “The Complete Pharoah Sanders Theresa Recordings.” A mixed bag of material, all of it nice to listen to in this calm period of the day. 140×140 6.05 KB

  8. My Pharoah Sanders Mosaic set finally arrived after a three day trip to Columbus and back for some reason. And it's the lowest number I ever remember getting . . . #013. Which is in keeping with the unlucky year I'm having.

  10. I’m spinning the Japanese Acoustic Sounds series SHM-SACD of John Coltrane “Crescent,” UCGU-9077. For my system it’s the best digital version I own, I also own a reissue LP that sounds pretty darned good.

I’m pretty ambivalent about this set overall, fun to go through, don’t think I’ll be revisiting it often, may put it up for sale. 234×155 23 KB

  16. Tchaikovsky “Four Seasons” Fidelis SACD Piano trio pieces, one for each month. I last listened to this with my Dad on the old family stereo in that beautiful cherry wood cabinet he had specially made in '62 and kept all these years, one of my brothers enjoys that now. I really miss that man. . . so much!

  18. Mine was scheduled to arrive yesterday. It reached ClevelandUSPS (about 45 miles away) on Saturday but then on Sunday. . . Cleveland instead of sending it East to me sent it South to Columbus! Hopefully I'll get it re-routed to me and have it tomorrow.
