  3. American Gods, Season 1. Though I'm not crazy about this show, I really enjoy the direction, cinematography and the music (as much as I did "Hannibal." Longmire, Season 5. Another excellent season.
  4. Cecile McLorin Salvant "Dreams and Daggers." I really like this release. I'm enjoying playing around with Lucid mode on the Decware Taboo Mk IV headphone amplifier (via headphones, Oppo PM-1), on this one today--it responds well to the Lucid mode effects.

  8. It's a decent cd. The best cd I have ever heard of this session is the Impex gold cd. https://www.amazon.com/Indigos-Limited-Duke-Ellington/dp/B00YB9BMDU/ref=sr_1_1?s=music&ie=UTF8&qid=1509548490&sr=1-1&keywords=duke+ellington+ellington+indigos

  12. I always forget how powerful the playing is of this trio, and how inventive the arrangements and unique the overall sound.
  13. Louis Armstrong "Louis and the Good Book" Universal Japan 2017 CD. Followed by Bob Dylan, "Shot of Love," Sony Blu-Spec CD2
  14. Ah, there are two pages on amazon.com for this title then. (And with different "titles").
  15. Snuck in some headphone listening while the OSU game was on. Midnight Blooming Jazzmen "Freedom Jazz Dance" Roy Haynes "Hip Ensemble" Monday Michiru "Naked Breath 2"
  16. Cool. I think I have most of these from collector's circles. . . and I'm sure they sound better from the legitimate source. And there are many other artists' recordings available, and sound impressions I've read are good. . . I believe these are soundboards.
  17. I haven't heard any of them, but these Fillmore recordings are available for purchase digital file-wise from their "Vault" and there have been positive sound quality comments--this leads me to believe that they are soundboard recordings.
  18. It must have gone out of print which is not uncommon for jazz releases this decade. Must have been fairly recently as I bought a copy last year from Amazon. As Jim notes it seems to be available at decent prices on discogs.com and also on ebay.com
  19. Okay. And thanks for mentioning Lockjaw as it made me realize that Teagarden was similarly extremely inventive and possibly "blessed" with genius. I love that guy.
  20. The man wrote "Shipp'. . . .
  21. Jack Teagarden fits right in there with Lock and Eddie Harris Who?
