  1. Pretty much the material that is on Biograph that was not on the original albums. As Biograph is not included in this box set, this makes certain none of that material is "orphaned." 2. I got some great responses, first was from someone on the Steve Hoffman board, thanks all, this is sold.
  3. IMO much of the most recent is more important than some of the 'seventies. But yeah it's all subjective, it's good music and a great box set.
  4. And his eighties and nineties and naughts.
  5. For sale, The Complete Columbia Albums of Bob Dylan box set. Complete and in excellent condition. I have also enclosed the cd of "Shadows in the Night" in a paper sleeve, which came with the LP version I purchased. This is a great box set. I really have only listened to about one quarter of the discs, those that are new re-masterings in the box set and the two cd "Side Tracks" compilation. I had been collecting all the Sony and Mobile Fidelity SACDs and began collecting the Sony Blu-Spec CD2 releases and in time have all the material in this box set in other versions and feel the box set is better served enjoyed by another than gathering dust on my shelf. Price is 120 dollars including media mail shipping in the continental US. If interested please PM or email me at lonjazz@yahoo.comThanks!
  6. Watching AMC's "Preacher." Wasn't really going to, then saw that Ruth Negga is in it and decided to, I really like her, think she's beautiful and she can act. (It's not surprising she's in this as she and the lead actor are an item). It's an ultraviolet irreverent show, I'm enjoying it so far.
  7. Mosaic vinyl started off standard thickness (not thin) then moved to heavier vinyl. I believe all the heavier vinyl is an analog to vinyl transfer, earlier vinyl MAY have been a digital transfer to vinyl.
  8. That's probably why I spent more and got it from Europe.
  9. Yes, it can take two to four weeks or more to show up on amazon.com . . . sometimes I can't wait, but when I do it is eventually cheaper for US residents from amazon.com (especially with Prime membership).
  10. On to Season 3 of "The Larry Sanders" show. Hey now!
  11. Went to see this with Lucy yesterday. Quite a nice movie! Entertaining, well acted.
  12. Oh I get the advantage of one and understand the use. I don't sing along, and I don't play along with others on the guitar. I just haven't had the need for one.
  13. Interesting. I can't contribute any advice or comment. . . as I have never used a capo.
  14. Well, I was told a bit differently years ago and from what he told me many years ago I don't think Wayne will ever okay their release if they exist. And that's fine. We don't need to hear everything from anyone.
  15. I honestly think that Cuscuna has "say" in this matter to this day, he's influential in these matters. And that the tapes won't be available, ever. Can't say more by request, but reading between my lines and others I don't think the tapes still exist.
  16. We won't see this as long as Michael has any industry say. I'm probably as sure as you that the tapes aren't in the vault. Wayne may have them or they're dust.
  17. Those tapes may no longer exist. Michael Cuscuna told me that he gave the unreleased tapes of a Silver session that neither wanted to issue to Silver and they were destroyed. He may well have done the same with these (?)
  18. I actually like this collection (and it never was very expensive).
  19. What cha think? I really liked the first season. Was funny to see "Merlin" in a different role.
  20. Season 2 of the Larry Sanders Show.
  21. Thanks for that headsup about the CD, I had missed that. Added it to an order that will ship in a month or so.
