  1. Go for both if you can, but like sidewinder I would choose the Hodes, I love that set.
  2. Re-watching last night's Grimm. Such a hoot to see my uncle on TV again.
  3. I keep coming back to this lp. (AKA Portrait of Pee Wee). The arrangements just make it special.
  4. There are ten remaining posts.
  5. Kissing by the candle Three times Ritual before leaving This cool room Today the passion Drowns Today the hunger Roars No one leaves.
  6. Not at all true. I really don't have that many rock recordings to be honest. Not in comparison to jazz recordings. There are many many rock (and pop) artists I really don't like enough to listen to.
  7. WD-41 at Kenny Dorham's Back Yard.
  8. I actually think Bowie is a very interesting artist. I have a copy of most of these cds in one form or another.
  9. Bud Freeman is something else. . . and Art Hodes was a true master.
  10. Jobim and Pearson equals great beauty.
  11. Many, many happy returns!
  12. I agree, I was lukewarm on the first season, but this second one opened up full throttle and kept on.
  13. Just found out my Uncle Jack is going to be appearing on "Grimm" this coming Friday night. His second network TV appearance (he was a guest star on a Leverage, Season Two episode). I'm looking forward to it!
  14. Many happy, happy returns!
  15. Season 4 on Blu-ray.
  16. These are the four titles on "Blue Moods" NATURE BOY EASY LIVING ALONE TOGETHER THERE'S NO YOU http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blue_Moods
  17. It's actually a favorite of mine. Was hoping for a Prestige RVG cd, as I really like those of the Miles Davis dates in the series.
  18. The Pax Americana Over there Anywhere You put your oil in jeopardy We'll be there (I'll take covert operations for 1500 Alex)
  19. I don't have anything to compare the speed issue to, but I've heard the first disc of this set and the sound is not really bad. Just bad. If you are used to listening to bootlegs, this one sounds like a decent bootleg from the 'fifties, a so so one from the 'sixties, if that makes sense. Speed seems possibly a bit slow to me in a few spots, but again, I've not heard the material before.
  20. I've bought from audiogon this summer. Not a single problem.
  21. "This Is Tommy Dorsey and the Clambake Seven" 2 LP
