  1. I do know what you mean Jim. But sometimes I went too far over a line that I don't like to cross, just so PO'd by his arrogant douchebagginess. And I'm sorry that I did.
  2. I'm sorry for some of the things I said to Clem. Just don't tell him.
  3. Many many more happy returns Larry!
  4. Yesterday the older of my two brothers and I watched about half of Season one of Madmen (Blu-Ray version). He'd never seen the show, he'd never seen Blu-Ray, he was quite impressed with both. He was visiting from Ohio, flew down Thursday morning and left this morning in a rented car on his way to New Orleans. I sort of wished I could have gone along!
  5. It's so hard to tell this week. . . these are the two I can't pick from: "All the Things you Are," Andy Bey from "It Ain't Necessarily So" "Inside Out," Keith Jarrett/Gary Peacock/Jack DeJohnette from "Inside Out"
  6. This is pretty well pre-order priced at CDUniverse.
  7. I think you can get this cheaper directly from Transpareny (?) meridianavenue@yahoo.com
  8. Watched "Life," "Lost," and the second episode of a new sitcom called "Better Off Ted." "Better Off Ted" shows some promise. For me Wednesday night is a crowded tv night! I'd watch "Lie to Me" as well if it somehow didn't seem to always conflict with one of my other Wednesday night shows.
  9. I'm listening to a lot of Andy Bey today, and getting quite emotional. It almost seems like a Mosaic set, and the quality is surely there.
  10. I'd argue with anyone who said Pops and Pres and Bird weren't geniuses. There's probably others, but I'm sure of those three.

  12. It didn't impress me, as you say it's neither fish nor fowl. I was never bowled over by the "Tales" anyway, the material doesn't do much for me, and neither did what I saw of this recreation.
  13. I got copies of the Shaw in the mail on release day. . . so both Rob and I say no, they're not delayed.
  14. I voted one to six in both categories.
  15. Yes, thanks for sharing.
  16. Okay, that is NOT a Rooster Tie!
  17. I saw part of this at the theater, playing before Watchmen. Wasn't that impressed, sorry to say.
  18. In a word, yes, especially for someone who only has Heavy Weather.
  19. It's okay Chris. You did not go gently into that dark night of Windows.
  20. Well, it's been going on here since day one or two. . . .
  21. Sorry, Satchmo: A Musical Autobiography is a three cd set. . . not a two cd set. Still, I stand behind my recommendation. Fantastic music!
  22. Second time. Been a while.
  23. Man, you can start almost anywhere and find lots of heavy stuff. I'd do a single disk or double disc. . .I'd start with some later masterpieces like "Plays W. C. Handy" or the two cd set "Autobiography." Amazing stuff, great sound and playing. Just for the hell of it, these recordings need your love.
