Really nice post Swinging Swede, I will get this one for sure now. Cheers. you are heartily invited to that ongoing thread where BillF, GA Russell and I discuss places where you can listen to albums for free - can't believe i hadn't been aware of those until a few weeks ago... (after sampling a few tracks you have to register with deezer - did it and nothing bad has happened to me so far) I think I'll sign up myself, although I might wait until you are sure that nothing bad happens to you. :D

guess many clifford brown fans have it it's my only clifford brown cd so i guess i can't help you much - the first four or five tracks under tadd damerons leadership are awesome, maybe my favorite dameron pieces, the second half from sweden with art farmer is also pretty good... edit to add, mixed up the two halves, first four tunes are sweden with art farmer, rest is dameron... can you hear it here? http://www.deezer.com/#music/album/104920 Cheers Niko. The Dameron tracks are the ones I'm most interested in so I just might have to spring for this one. http://www.deezer.com, that's a great link, thanks again.

You beat me to it, I was going to mention the Mosaic as one of my favorites for the reasons you mentioned, it's one that I am really glad I got before it went OOP. This one hasn't been mentioned and I think it's really good; No Max fan should be without it, although some may be put off by the vocals. I would also give an honourable mention to this one, not essential but worth picking up if you see it cheap, it has Clifford Jordan, Mal Waldron and Eddie Khan; This is also excellent; Great idea for a thread, Max is Jazz, not to mention Jazz Druming. -

I've noticed this one is now available for €10 in Tower over here in Dublin, which is nuts for a double. -

I'm not sure these could really be classed as advertisments, I mean they are sooooooooooooooooo subtle. Although I do feel like having a smoke now. -

You can take checks, but I would specify only bank checks or money orders. If you get a bad personal check your bank will most likely hit you with a nice fee, and out of state checks may take awhile to clear. I take Paypal only and skip the hassle. Thanks chaps, do you have to sign up with Paypal to list on ebay even if you don't want to use it? -
Gambit have done it with this one here I don't know how easy it would be to find the legitimate original issues, at least for a reasonable price, Check out what they're looking for, 1 new from $153.47. I second this album. I heard Barry was one of Sonny's favorite sideman. Yes it's excellent and welcome to the Forum. I should also mention this one, Dexter Gordon: "Biting the Apple" as another very good Harris sideman date; It has a great take of "Blue Bossa" amoung other things.

Again, Amen to that.

Amen to that. I amazed this Board loads as fast as it does what with all the weighty, etched in granite posts.

Have to disagree there, perhaps a little Liverpool bias showing . United thoroughly deserved to win and Porto never really troubled them. Really, one goal in the 6th minute away and conceding 2 at home??? Not sure about that, maybe a bit of Man U bias on your part there. :D I was expecting a bit more from Porto though considering how good they were in the first leg. Liverpool did not deserve to go through, simple as that. -
Yes it's great, one of those once in a life time All-Star sessions that really works.

I will echo John's question, who ebay's regularly, I am seriously considering signing up with them, is it worth the hassel? -
Yes that is probably the way I'm going to go.

This is what I find odd, this a 77 year old man we are talking about here not some teenager, surely the guy has some cop on at this stage. Deleting posts/threads before you make a big deal about leaving and trying to make people believe it was someone else doing it??? What some people don't seem to realise or choose to forget is that there was Organissimo the Band before there was Organissimo the Board. I'm sure that the site is handy for the guys for promoting their music and the other projects they are involved with but they, Jim especially, doesn't really need to do this Forum. I'm sure as he has a young family, this is one hassle he could gladly do without. I would think it is childish little things like this that will put an end to the Board, rather than big things like financing it. The money can always be found when you want to keep it alive but why put in the effort when someone who is old enough and supposed to know better behaves this way. Why would anyone have an interest in discussing Politics on this Board, why? Is it because it's easier to do here than on an actual Political Fourm? Surely the clue as to what should be discussed is in the title, " organissimo jazz forums - The best jazz discussion forum on the web!"

Stress. Stress isn't a factor for Guus, it's because he already has too many other commitments, one of which is the Russian national team. I should have added some smileys. I think it's becasue he's very very smart, the Chelsea squad, despite last night's result, needs some fresh blood, not just a few big name/big money signings. There are quite a few players there who are past their best or not really that good anyway. Without another massive splurge by Roman, he would always be failing to live up to the expectations, however after saying that, if they win something this year there will be a lot of pressure on the Chelski Board to keep him so don't rule it out. No matter what the reason is, Guus Hidink is someone I would like to see on the lines next season. His name was mentioned more than one time as one of the candidate to replace Mr. Ferguson (if he ever retires). No doubt he's a great Manager, his record proves that, but he's got quite a nice number at the moment with Russia and I doubt he wants the work load at this stage, if he did he could probably go to any club in the world. Very lucky win for United.................... again. -
They want to see how everybody feels about the exit. Maybe someone will beg them to stay. Another day of drama on.... As The Organissimo Turns. Yes of course, and they can read the responses to their dramatic final post from the safety of anonymity, ie not logging in. I'm really looking forward to the next episode of...... As The Organissimo Turns. Who will Chuck Nessa bang next???

Same here and I don't really know why, it's not like I ever hated them, just that I'm finding things in them that I never noticed before, eg Monk in San Fran., always thought it was good but recently it blew my mind for some strange reason, can't believe how good it is. Back to Barry Harris, I am going after his Xanadu's, by hook or by crook.
