I agree. Reflections and Straight Horn seem to get more attention, but Evidence is the one from those early years I'd take to a desert island. I really love his work on Prestige, "Reflections" is a masterpiece IMHO. I would love to hear the Candid date.

That's almost the exact phrase I was using last night, except there was no "bad" there, it was more "Arshavin you ...." "total", "complete", "absolute" etc, etc. Agreed, he has been fantastic in the last few months and althought he'll perhaps never win any of the top awards, I don't think he gets the credit or game time he deserves. He is way above the average in the Premiership.

Same with Paypal (which is sort of the same thing). I was scrupulously hoarding my credit card payments accepted to my Paypal account to under 5 a year, so I could keep the personal account rather than professional or whatever it is called. Then I got a large credit card payment from a UK-based buyer, and they didn't even give me the option. I had to convert or lose the funds. Well, I capitulated, but I certainly resented it. Thank you everybody, I've had my suspicions about the whole ebay/palpal connection, this is what has put me off the whole thing up to this point. I really think if you just want to get rid of a few bits and pieces it could end up being more hassel that it's worth and any extra money you might make via the auction will go in either fees or the exchange rate. guess many clifford brown fans have it it's my only clifford brown cd so i guess i can't help you much - the first four or five tracks under tadd damerons leadership are awesome, maybe my favorite dameron pieces, the second half from sweden with art farmer is also pretty good... edit to add, mixed up the two halves, first four tunes are sweden with art farmer, rest is dameron... can you hear it here? http://www.deezer.com/#music/album/104920 Cheers Niko. You beat me to it, I was going to mention the Mosaic as one of my favorites for the reasons you mentioned, it's one that I am really glad I got before it went OOP. This one hasn't been mentioned and I think it's really good; No Max fan should be without it, although some may be put off by the vocals. I would also give an honourable mention to this one, not essential but worth picking up if you see it cheap, it has Clifford Jordan, Mal Waldron and Eddie Khan; This is also excellent; Great idea for a thread, Max is Jazz, not to mention Jazz Druming.

I've noticed this one is now available for €10 in Tower over here in Dublin, which is nuts for a double.

You can take checks, but I would specify only bank checks or money orders. If you get a bad personal check your bank will most likely hit you with a nice fee, and out of state checks may take awhile to clear. I take Paypal only and skip the hassle. I heard Barry was one of Sonny's favorite sideman. Yes it's excellent and welcome to the Forum. I should also mention this one, Dexter Gordon: "Biting the Apple" as another very good Harris sideman date; It has a great take of "Blue Bossa" amoung other things.
