  1. I used to use it heavily (even had one printed version) but still use it nowadays. Although mostly from my phone. I had a time when I ignored it but I'm back going to it sometimes.
  2. A nice private set from my beloved Farlow, together with his fabulous trio. Eddie Costa on piano and Vinnie Burke on bass.
  3. This is also available from Freshsound on a series of CDs for I don't know right now how much.
  4. Agreed. I paid more too. Don't know how much, but it's very good. There are the ultraphone sessions (some of the first recordings he did), different airchecks (one with a US Air Force band) and more.
  5. A very nice set. Especially if you like, like me, the Lee Morgan Wayne Shorter coupling. Nice cover too.
  6. But now: An OJC and a very fine nylon string guitar album.
  7. After the previous I again stumble on Kenny Burrell on this one, by chance.
  8. I enjoyed it like a child. Had it for years (even before the € conversion) but read it now.
  9. From the Doubletime Series. Althouugh I also own a JRVG mini-LP of one of them, which sounds better, here the two volumes are together, with the famous Andy Warhol drawing on the cover.
  10. Thanks for that hint.
  11. And even more surprised it hasn't seen a reissue in all those years. I think it was reissued by Freshsound, but no legit reissue. At least that I know of. Recommended.
  12. Marvelous! I had passed along this, which I own as a 1000 yen edition, for too long.
  13. With Herbie Hancock on organ.
  14. I also had it as an LP.
  15. One of my most beloved Mosaic posessions. The Trio with Peterson, Barney Kessel and Ray Brown.
  16. A very nice one. I'm a sucker for Berlin trilogy Bowie. But now listening to:
  17. Very good. I know zig-zag papers
  18. With Bill Perkins on the first quartet session.
  19. A very nice Rogers album. I like all his RCAs. Listening now to Love is a state of mind by Jhelisa from 2006 while I do this.
  20. An excellent West Coast Jazz example. And the baritone, I like so much, played by Bob Gordon.
  21. And the RVG Prestige reissues Concord itself did some time ago (some ten years ago) were also a good bet.
  22. European jazz from the same time West Coast Jazz was made. Spurred in interest by another thread here I got this, although I already own a lot of Hipp. I tried my local bookstore to get it but to no avail (it's a record label product not a bookpublishers. I suspect it may have something to do with that). Then I tried a record store and they could get it but more expensive than from Bear Family direct. And that's the way I prefer doing things. Buy it straight from the source. I bought it and it was delivered within a week.
