  1. But now: With Art Pepper and Hampton Hawes!
  2. I have the Genius of the Electric Guitar box and there with alternates I think it sums up to 4 CDs.
  3. Crisp, there is not even personnell info here or a booklet. So forget about mastering info. Though I knew it when I ordered it because I own another example from this series: Ellington. But the series is a good, convenient and cheap way to have some basic material from the artist in question.
  4. Though I like him with blues singers, what I really like best are his piano solos.
  5. And now, after Guy Laffitte From the Rare Groove Series.
  6. Bob Gordon with either Herbie Harper or Jack Montrose. Fantastic!
  7. I too hope for Cuscuna to be rolling the Mosaic ball for a little longer. Or for pretty longer. And about Bill Barron I finally heard him (didn't know him) after Jim Sangrey's insistence and I liked hima lot. Look in the What are you listening to NOW-thread in a little while.
  8. I also like his Prestiges specifically, and there is a very good boxset of them all, containig even a session with Coleman Hawkins which was his first session for the label. Plus that boxset is a K2, meaning it has a very good sound. Very natural. To be recommended.
  9. A nice bebop devoted package from the JiP collection. Now I am with the Don Byas/Tyree Glenn Orchestra. But there are also sections of the CD devoted to the Don Byas Reboppers, a Howard McGhee sextet and the James Moody quintet.
  10. I have that box and it was, I think, the first Mosaic I got. But it's a great set.
  11. That's also true for me. But instead of ton that would be tons, if it wasn't that what you meant to say. He's all over my collection.
  12. A good compilation of his earlier work as leader or sideman. With Victor Feldman on vibes.
  13. Oh, I imagined something like this (more early nineties) when I saw Sub Pop as the label somewhere, but then I thought "no, maybe that's somebody else".
  14. Very good the Likes, but from when are they? Looks like the sixties.
  15. Frank Wess - Jazz for Playboys, Savoy. A nice one.
  16. I'd like this Louis Armstrong - Complete Hot 5's & 7's - Sony C4K63527 (long box) - $35 How much would the shipping to Europe be?
  17. I've had it wrapped for 10 or 15 years, but the other day I opened it. And it's very good. With Gerald Wiggnis on organ and Herb Ellis on guitar. Greasy blues!
  18. The 1987 edition, which I have as a cut out.
  19. Sounds like a good proposition for Freshsound and Co.
