He did two of his own.
I just found a copy of a leader sesson on Catalyst - quartet IIRC - about the same time as the Muse sessions.
Hey Mosaic, how about the complete Junior Cook, Bill Hardman and Mickey Tucker Muse sessions?
Needless to say, he's all over the Blue Mitchell Mosaic box. It's OOP, but usually sells for reasonable prices on ebay.
Funny, I was listening to "Junior's Cookin' " today.
My first ever jazz concert was Freddie Hubbard in the early 70's and he was on tenor at the time.
He's scheduled to play with Joe Lovano's Nonet at Dizzy's in NYC next month, too.
Still scheduled (so far):
Fri-Sun, May 18-20
Joe Lovano Nonet with Hank Jones
Featuring Joe Lovano, tenor saxophone; Hank Jones, piano; Dennis Irwin, bass; Lewis Nash, drums.
wanted to post a link to www.azarlawrence.com but it's not working anymore (it did though a few weeks ago)
What happened to Azar? I must have missed that.
Not only awful, but highly incorrect as others have already pointed out.
Not to mention the daily slaughter taking place in Iraq and only slightly less frequently in Afghanistan.
I think so. I had heard a few cuts from the "Last Days of the Fillmore" box set before I picked this up, so I had an idea what was coming. I think it's worth getting the entire show because it's Santana (version 1.1) at their creative peak.
I would also recommend getting the 2CD version of the S/T first album. You get the entire Woodstock performance.
OK, Ag.
I didn't realize they had put that set on the Clearance list - and for that cheap!
So.............nevermind.

Edit: BTW, that code is for 65% off with no shipping/handling charges. Good until 4/18.
He's kind of a folk-y/jazz-y singer and guitarist. Interesting, but certainly not straight-ahead stuff.
If you have an eMusic account, there are a few of his albums there.
I saw that Vollard show at the Met, too. It was interesting. Not only for the art, but the story behind the art, as well.
Going to see the Henry Wessell photography retrospective at the SFMoMA next week.
I think the lineup is Frank Foster, tenor sax; Ted Dunbar, guitar; Mickey Tucker, piano; Earl May, bass; Billy Hart, drums. N'Hita Jazz Club, Belgium, February 24th,1979.

Hey THANKS, Eloe!
Mabern's "Straight Street" is a great album.
There's another Joanne Brackeen trio album w/Jack & Eddie Gomez: "Keyed In"
So.....it looks like he's played with a LOT of piano trios, actually.
