My Archos is a 20GB and it's full. Sure, I don't listen to ALL of the music on there, but it's like collecting CDs/records. It's nice to have a ton of tunes at your fingertips when you're in the mood for something specific.

That show that Leeway was talking about was on VH-1. It was better than I expected that it would be. There was a CD released about the same time called "Stoned Immaculate" with many of the same performers, like the Creed guy, the guy from Train and Ian Astbury. Not a great album, but worth having for Doors fans.

This is available from yourmusic.com for $34.93. I just ordered a copy for myself! That's a GREAT price. I may have to spring for that........finally. For the record, I agree with EVERYTHING that Berigan just said about the band. B-)

I've found that cilantro can indeed taste like soap........sometimes. I don't know if it's how they grow it, or what, but sometimes it has a taste that's nearly inedible. Most of the time, though, it's GREAT!!!

It's also a TWO CD set, which makes it very rare indeed. Good catch. I missed THAT one.

Here in SF?? I don't recall seeing his name in the papers or on any local gigs. Interesting. Before Mark-Almond, he was with John Mayall (& Jon Mark) when they recorded the classic "Turning Point" album. He was one of those "cross-over" musicians who got me interested in jazz back in the early 70's.

Cool! I'll pick up a SF Weekly (or 2, or 3 or ...) this weekend. Thanks for the heads up, BeBop.

I have a CD of that Louis Hayes Sextet called "The Crawl" from 1989. Also includes Gary Bartz, Mickey Tucker and Clint Houston. It's a good - surprisingly not great - album recorded at "new Birdland" 10/14/89.

Did Hank Jones record anything in the 30's?
