Yes. You put the needle on the inside part of the album and it spirals OUT. The albums themselves were called "Counterrevolutionary Music for In-Store-Play". One was R&B tunes by "Con Funk Shun", "Kool & the Gang" and more. The other album was rock with "Southside Johnny", "John Cougar" (before Mellancamp), "Scorpions", etc.

I have a couple of promo albums from Polygram where the groove starts on the inside of the disk and moves OUT.

I like it a lot.

If not the first.......at least one of the first. Different cover, though. (this one's ugly!)

That's the right URL. They have "Island of Real" and "Peaceful World" CDs for $12.98.

I think "Peaceful World" was originally a 2LP set.

I never realized that all those folks were on that album. I think I had it at one point in the early 70's. I remember that there was a "jazz angle" to it, but I probably didn't 'get it' at the time.

As I mentioned in the other thread, I like this series a lot. The lyrics sound a bit dated, but that's OK. There's plenty of good vocals, spearheaded by Andy Bey.

Oh, yeah. There's been a bit of inflation in the music biz over the last few decades.

Anybody know when this was recorded? I saw him at the Keystone in December 1977.

For the record, that Jones/Lewis Mosaic on ebay went for $405!
