haha the allmusic reviewer had following choice words for the cover (and the album i guess) "If things weren't dismal enough, the album cover, looking as though drawn by a fashion-school dropout, is possibly one of the worst ever". I always liked the album a lot and am listening to it right now

stumbled on this on the tube. much fun as Peter Giger is from the same town as i. very nice shots from bern and wengen , silberhorn and Eiger. even some personal acquaintance/friends appearing.

I don' know if it's a must have but i am glad to have it. actually i have this with additional background which never really bothered me anyway this morning i am diggin the music so much that i listen to both my lp and the trio only version on the tube.

enjoyed the festival quite a lot starting thursday with Marquis Hill's blacktet and Henry Butler & Steven Bernstein & the hot9. both highly entertaining sets; started early on Friday, did a little hopping between venues and dug everything The Craig Taburn trio was excellent; on the main stage the Chico and George Freeman set was the bomb. caught Kidd Jordan, Jeff Parker Josh Abrams and Alvin Fielders after fest at Constellation. Beautiful imo. Muhal's eperimental band for me delivered everything that i had hoped for. great music. . .

I am going starting today. Planning to go as much as stamina allows which means i probably have to be a bit selective on the fly.
