  1. Ahhh, this little thread has been dormant for over a month now...is everyone feeling a little down and out? Let's get this puppy up and running again. Here goes: Up for grabs: Bob Dylan - Carnegie Hall 1963 advance sampler-SEALED. This is a promo-only disc that is being given away at some stores with the purchase of Dylan items. Great sound quality. I sure hope this complete set gets a release; since it's called an "advance" sampler, I have high hopes... Goes to the first PM I receive. But please remember to offer something up to "Pay It Forward." I never received the cds I claimed in this thread. I'll let that Forum member deal with the Karma that might be causing to come his way... Ok, Ready, Set, GO!!!
  2. Ahh, late to the party. Happy Belated Birthday, Dan! Hope it was good and you spinned some 3 Sounds!
  3. Ahhh, he's off enjoying himself. Hope yer day is great, Vibes! Happy Birthday to you!
  4. Crisis over.
  5. Probably just a temporary thing...Chill. :bwallace2: It's been up all morning, only went down just recently.
  6. And into my cart it goes!!! Thanks Erik.
  7. Andy, Perhaps you're thinking of "'Bout Soul" which is missing a couple tracks on the Moncur Select cuz Grachun don't play on 'em...
  8. I thought Consequence was on there?
  9. Lee Morgan's Sonic Boom, whatya think? I think I should listen to this one today...been awhile. I've got the TOCJ. Oh, and Porcy62, I do believe you're correct about it being Higgins.
  10. Hope your day is great. Enjoy!
  11. Man, at the used record store yesterday they had some old "Peaches" record crates for sale...$20 each!!! Seem high to you, too?
  12. Ummm, because he could snap your neck like twig...just by looking at you... It was his attitude...he was a motherfucker!
  13. Thanks, gents. I never did pick up those cds, but recently picked up a vinyl reissue of the original 3 Blind Mice on UA. I wonder if between that record and the "Live Messengers" lp set, do I have all the contents of the 2 cd set? Perhaps missing some alts? Edit: Answered it myself with a little looking...Looks like I've got it all with the exception of Wayne's "Children of the Night." Am I really missing something special by not having this track?
  14. Red was late to the session. That's why Miles played on Sid's Ahead. Surely contributed to him before fired shortly thereafter...
  15. Where do the sets that were issued on the mid-70's Blue Note lp set "Live Messengers" turn up again? I know the 4th side with the 3 tracks with Lou & Brownie turn up as bonus tracks on the RVGs, but how 'bout the first 3 sides? Recorded at the Village Gate and somewhere else, I believe... Did they ever get put out on cd?
  16. Happy Birthday Gary! Hope it's a goodie...
  17. Your post sucked me in, Wolff... Thanks!
  18. Get the live album I, Eye, Aye next. That version of "Volunteered Slavery" blows the studio version out of the water. There is also a video release of this same show, which goes by a different name. I think it is called "The One Man Twins." ← It will be mine... Thanks for the recommendation!
  19. I'm just getting into RRK as well. So far I have: Rip, Rig & Panic Domino The Inflated Tear Live in Copenhagen Blacknuss ...but my favorite has been "Volunteered Slavery." One side studio, one side live. It's incredible. Actually, it's a motherfucker!
  20. "You Get More Bounce with Curtis Counce!" - Analogue Productions reissue. Jesus! This sounds freakin' incredible! Can't beat those Contemporary productions...
  21. Bennie Green - Back On The Scene - Classic 200gm mono...I splurged! It's great!
  22. What he said goes ditto for me too... I guess you can forget about the "Pay It Forward" discs as well...
  23. Short answers: - RVG had nothing to do with these remasters; - I guess you could call these "24-bit remastered Blue Note Works" reissues; - yes, jewel cases. Did you see the earlier lists with the TOCJ-6400 ~ TOCJ-6600 reissues in this series? I posted those last year and earlier this year. ← So, how are they? Cuz I love the BN Works issues... Surely you've picked up some of these, eh?
  24. Oh, and before "The Avant-Garde" I was spinnin': My avatar, "Unit Structures." Sealed (until recently) original stereo pressing. It's so beautiful!
  25. "The Avant-Garde" by John Coltrane & Don Cherry - from the Heavyweight Champ boxed set... Awesome! However, track 2 on Side B "The Invisible" is in mono. Not that I'm really complaining. It sounds marvelous. I'll have to check my cd of this set to check if it's mono as well... Did you guys hear my wife got me a new Music Hall MMF-5 turntable for my recent birthday? She rules!!!
