It sounded like a throw-back to the 1970s, a mix of synths and voices that was going on then. It's a if Byrd's A New Perspective and McCann's Invitation to Openness had a lovechild, this it what it would sound like. However, I like those kinds of things, so I enjoyed it immensely.

Van Dyke Parks: Song Cycle. For many years now, I will play this album every now-and-then, to find out if I understand anything, just a sliver of something on this album. So far, after all these years, I don't understand a darn thing about what's going on. PS: Let me add that I'm mystified by Van Dyke Parks reputation as a genius, I don't get a thing... I'm probably just dense.

Well, there was a team that stole a win last night, but is was the Warriors not Portland. That 14-3 run to close out the game, that was something only an experienced playoff team could pull off. Good win for the Warriors, and Sunday, to say the least, is must win time for the Blazers. On a side note, I'm already sick of the Currys and the media circus around them....

15 teams under .500 at this point (Miami in free fall, how many losses this year?) with no chance of going anywhere either. No wonder attendance is down -- MLB has a serious problem with the lack of quality baseball.

Despite their first game (that was coming off a tough Denver series), the Warriors winning the series is not a done deal... though if they continue letting Curry getting uncontested shots, they're in deep stuff. Wouldn't surprise me if they stole a win tonight, they can't play a worse game than game 1.
