clifford_thornton
Yeah, it is a wonderful record. The tough part would be replicating that corrugated pasted on sleeve.

jeffcrom
Bunny Berigan - Bunny (Camden). One of these days I'll get a good CD compilation of Berigan's big band. Until then, my two cheap Camden albums from the turn of the 1960s will do.
B. Clugston
Henry Threadgill, X-75 Volume 1 (Arista Novus). He sure has his basses covered on this one.
Chuck Nessa
Back in the day I was told the second volume wasn't issued since one of the bass players couldn't play in tune.

jeffcrom
Elmo Hope - The All-Star Sessions (Milestone two-fer). The 1956 Informal Jazz session, which I've loved for years. Le Jazz en France Volume 2: Black Bands in Paris 1929-1930 (French Pathe). A pretty amazing collection, with Eddie South, Sam Wooding, and others. jeffcrom
Rudy Tepel - Chassidic Wedding (Collectors Guild) A pretty amazing 1962 album of Hasidic klezmer, by a clarinetist I was not familiar with until I found this album today. This again.

Three tracks from the aborted second volume are on the Mosaic set, but I've never heard them. Joachim Kuhn, Sound of Feelings (BYG). Good one. The tracks from X-75 Volume II I enjoyed, but haven't listened to in quite a while. That's more of a reflection on my time and day-to-day pecadilloes than the music.
