AllenLowe
they probably got most of their stuff on buying trips from Stereo Jack.
Stonewall15
Do they sell on the internet? If they do this would be a great source for U.S. and other countries to get hard-to-find Japanese CDs.
Dmitry
A store like this 'disk UNION JAZZ' would not turn a day's worth of profit anywhere in the US, including New York. My first xrcd [Harlem Blues] came from the 'disk UNION' flagship store in Akihabara more than a decade ago. Now they've opened a separate Jazz store. Good on them! Must be a pretty amazing place to browse. Edited January 31, 2011 by Dmitry
JohnJ
Was there on Saturday! Great store, not just jazz though, they also sell soul and blues Cd's/LP's. For whatever reason it tends to be more expensive than some of the other diskunion stores in Tokyo. I actually prefer the diskunion jazz store in Shinjuku. sidewinder
"Hanawa said women in their 20s and 30s should feel comfortable visiting the store alone as the store entrance is designed like one for a fashionable clothing store or a restaurant." Covering all the bases. Manolo Blahnik to occupy the ladies, whilst their jazz geek other halves scan the rare Blue Note racks. Now why didn't Mole think of that? kinuta
Wonder whether sending them a wants list of LPs would get a response... No. They don't do international shipping. I don't know if they will ship domestically either. Strictly a cash, no credit cards, over the counter set up.
