Top 10 worst album covers

This is an outstanding recording by Bobby Hutcherson. But what in the hell was Blue Note thinking when they approved this cover???????

The Hutcherson is better than this stupid-looking thing. The first time I saw this Donaldson in the store I thought the picture was of some little kid. My thought was, "Is this a young Lou Donaldson?" When I looked closer I noticed the 'kid' was wearing earrings.

The only thing worse than that Rod Stewart Cover is what's undoubtedly on the disc inside.

>GACK!<

This title, third in a series, features "Baby, It's Cold Outside" (duet with Dolly Parton).

Yes sir. A couple of old-fashioned jazz singers, Rod and Dolly, sharing the same song. Gack is right. barf.gif

And a bunch of those songs from vols 1 & 2 are repeatedly played like there's no tomorrow on numerous local radio stations  . Interrupts my enjoyment of ABBA, Bee Gees et al.

The Bobby Hutcherson cover doesn't really coincide with the music inside, nor the title, imo. The cover is good, just not for that record.

The Natural Soul, on the other hand, is 'happening!' ;)

Rod Stewart needs to stop singing. Please.

Or maybe people just need to stop buying his records. "Wake up, people! He's fucking terrible and hasn't done anything worthwhile since Faces!"

Mmm - this is one of my absolute favourite Hutcherson front sleeves. Just love it - if I had a spare, I would frame it for display in the front room. I've always thought it complemented the sophisticated sounds of the album too. All a case of personal preferences, I guess.

I have absolutely no qualms though with the Rod Stewart 'selection'. Just gotta have that one.. :D
