My birthday is coming up in a few days.   Since my son will be off at college (and I'll be out of town) on my actual birthday, he gave me my card tonight.

I love that record - mostly because it was stolen from my freshman dorm room in 1962 and during summer break I attended a concert in Des Moines by Shelly Manne and his men. After the concert I went to Conte and said I like the record but it was gone. He invited me back to the Hotel Des Moines where he and Russ Freeman met me in the lobby with a fresh copy of the record.
