It was one of the few LPs I kept when I dumped all of my vinyl in the 90's. It shouldn't have been too hard to find. They sold almost 10 Million copies in the first two years of release. Quote

jazzbo Posted July 8, 2020 Report Posted July 8, 2020 Julian Arguelles "Tetra" . . . quite a nice quartet album and recording. Quote

Alas, no Super Hot Stamper copies available at $149 - but I am sure the search continues. https://www.better-records.com/search_adv.aspx?sp=eagles&option=s_name&min_price=1&max_price=&manuf=&cate=&so=14 Quote

I still can't believe people fall for his shtick. Sometimes, I swear he sells on the Steve Hoffman forums as Cassius. Quote

jazzbo Posted July 8, 2020 Report Posted July 8, 2020 (edited) World's Experience Orchestra "Beginning Of A New Birth/As Time Flows On" On Now Again Records 2 cd set, disc 1. I've liked work by some of these cats before, and the price was very tempting at www.dustygroove.com . . . I gave in and gave it a try and glad I did. Photo of LP version pictured, I have the cd edition. Edited July 8, 2020 by jazzbo Quote

JSngry Posted July 8, 2020 Author Report Posted July 8, 2020 Surviving this wave of the culldemic on the strength of some undeniable George Garzone and the happily fuquitous drumming of the late Take Toriyama. The rest of the people are all competent and Fine Musicians, but those two are getting this one put on the shelves today. The CD-R should show gratitude to them and nobody else. Quote
JSngry Posted July 8, 2020 Author Report Posted July 8, 2020 Jesse chandler gets some sounds out of the organ that catch the ear and imagination. Past that, very competent! Quote
Balladeer Posted July 8, 2020 Report Posted July 8, 2020 Massimo Cavalli, Jorge Moniz & Ricardo Pinheiro - Cinema & Dintorni (Fresh Sound World Jazz) Young guitar trio plays - supported by trumpet and accordion - music of Ennio Morricone and Nino Rota Quote
jazzbo Posted July 8, 2020 Report Posted July 8, 2020 Johnny Griffin (and members of the Kenny Clarke Francy Boland Big Band) "Lady Bottom Heavy's Waltz" I'd forgotten how good this one is. Clarke and Clare both on drums driving this small group along! Followed by Helen Merrill "Chasin' the Bird" Gitanes Jazz cd version. One of my favorite Merrills. Japan is reissuing this and a few other great Merrill cds at budget prices today. Quote
clifford_thornton Posted July 8, 2020 Report Posted July 8, 2020 That Griffin LP is great. I have it under the UK Youngblood Records issue, titled Foot Patting. Quote
