Nice!  I've never seen Watson perform.  Hope to rectify that some day.  ;)

re: Post Motown Bop -- I love that record too.  It might even be my "desert-island pick" for Watson.

I've seen Bobby Watson live many times. Too many to count. You should definitely catch him if he comes through your area.

If NP means "nice," What does the "P" stand for?

I love it, one of my favourite Joe Henderson albums. It was recorded in 1978 when I saw him here in Viena for the first time but don´t remember who was with him. I also saw him in 1979 and can´t recall who was with him.

Here it is two top notch all star quartets featuring Chick Corea, Tony Williams, great !

Started off with Count Basie Trio “For the First Time.” This is an exceptional session with Ray Brown and Louie Bellson, and the recording is great with a cool stereo effect on the organ tracks. (Basie was an interesting organist).

Followed by something very different, Nucleus “Live at the BBC” box set, disc 3

BBC Radio 1 Top Gear, 27 March 1971

Presented by John Peel

Snakehips’ Dream
Song For The Bearded Lady
Morning Call

Guitar – Chris Spedding
