jazzbo Posted February 8 Report Posted February 8 Starting off a cold morning with disc 2 of Yes “Tales from Topographic Oceans” Super Deluxe Edition. This is the original mix, LP sides. C and D. Wow. This is remastered very well. Quote
jazzbo Posted February 8 Report Posted February 8 “Songbook by Jason Palmer” Ayva cd This was I believe Jason Palmer’s first release as a leader and it sounds very “mature.” Palmer deserves more attention. All his original compositions on this one, as well as excellent support from a few “names.” Alto Saxophone – Greg Osby Bass – Matt Brewer Drums – Tommy Crane Piano – Leo Genovese Tenor Saxophone – Ravi Coltrane Trumpet – Jason Palmer Vibraphone – Warren Wolf Recorded October 28-29, 2006 at Systems II Studios, Brooklyn, N.Y. jazzbo Posted February 8 Report Posted February 8 I had forgotten about this expensive cd I ordered from Japan* until I saw a picture posted showing someone else was listening to it. I think I only played it once before, I like it, I like Jose James, a cool singer. This one is sort of a tribute to Erykah Badu, with a cover reminiscent of one of Alice Coltrane’s album covers. Jose James "On and On” *Of course now I see that amazon has it much less expensively. Ah well. Quote
HutchFan Posted February 8 Report Posted February 8 I have the 32 Jazz CD with a different cover, but I like the original Muse cover better. Quote
