In what way would you say? I'm a little surprised that's the case. Quote
jazzbo Posted February 14 Report Posted February 14 For me and my system the tonal balance is better. It may well be a subjective thing. Quote

jazzbo Posted February 14 Report Posted February 14 It is predicted to be in the mid-forties today. Will feel like a. heat wave! I'll be hard-pressed to keep my wife indoors. Starting off the quiet this neighborhood has on Saturday and Sunday mornings with Melissa Aldana "Filin" Blue Note cd, just released yesterday. I really like her work and she has been touring overseas for months and is on the top of her game. This is very mellow, building slowly, and I remember from my old band days how difficult it was for me to manufacture and maintain such beauty, and I really admire that skill. The album is dedicated to ballads, inspired and mostly following the Cuban style known as "filin." The recording is excellently engineered. Quote

jazzbo Posted February 14 Report Posted February 14 I'm on the spin of the last disc in my comparison of the new remaster and remix of Yes "Tales of Topographic Oceans" that I am spinning for a report for my best friend of my impressions. I really like both the new remaster, and Steven Wilson's new remix. Two very good presentations of music I love. After this I can move on to the other cds in the box set, and the LPs! This listen is to disc 1 of the set, the first two LP sides, newly remastered. Quote
