T.D. Posted April 2 Report Posted April 2 The Lyons (repressing?) and a bunch of the "2nd batch" just arrived. Listening to Joachim Kühn's Sounds of Feelings, which is a very good album, I had to chuckle at the Morricone quote in the tune El Dorado. 😆 Quote

Cdjapan had a 1400 yen release in the first batch for quite a while. By the time I got around to ordering that was gone, but the album then reappeared as a 2000 yen release with the second batch and I included it in my order. Edited April 5 by T.D. Quote

king ubu Posted April 30 Report Posted April 30 Oh, that's cool! There's another series running ... by BYG or whomever remains (or inherited the remains of the stolen goods) of them, anyone knows how this all fits together? https://bygrecords.bandcamp.com/ All LP and CD it seems (I think when I checked last, a few weeks back, some were digital only) ... possibly nearer to the source (not that it matters much, some of the albums from August 1969 sessions sound quite bad in all issues, it seems, notably the Sunny Murray) and maybe with readable notes and including complete cover reproductions (too bad the Japanese CDs don't reproduce the entire inner part of the fold out covers). Also as I was considering upgrading the Dave Burrell, I noticed that in this case the Sunspots (manufactured by Abraxas, which also did ESP-Disk' reissues that I've always considered to be bootlegs) seems to be properly licensed.
