BeBop Posted October 12, 2018 Report Posted October 12, 2018 This can be a pretty lousy time of year here, but I have had two near-perfect weeks in Sierra Leone and Liberia - 36C and humid, but few flooding rains. And it's looking good for my return to N'Djamena, 41C but 24C evenings . (Yeah, I'm happier warm than cold.) Quote

Dan Gould Posted December 21, 2018 Report Posted December 21, 2018 this storm is so big its effecting the UK and Florida simultaneously? Quote
kinuta Posted December 26, 2018 Report Posted December 26, 2018 Cloudy. H 10 L 5. Doesn't feel cold. Quote

ejp626 Posted January 12, 2019 Report Posted January 12, 2019 Pretty chilly right now: 24F (-4 C). It's suppose to dip even more tomorrow and most of next week. Doesn't look like we get any of this massive blizzard hitting parts of the US. It might snow on Friday. Quote
Chuck Nessa Posted January 21, 2019 Report Posted January 21, 2019 Scene from our front porch in Buffalo, NY. Not much different than back in Whitehall, MI. Quote
GA Russell Posted January 31, 2019 Report Posted January 31, 2019 It's 22 and clear here in Raleigh. That's pretty cold for us, even in January. Quote
paul secor Posted January 31, 2019 Report Posted January 31, 2019 Below zero here, but I'm not complaining. Not as cold as the Midwest. Quote

Kevin Bresnahan Posted January 31, 2019 Report Posted January 31, 2019 It's 0 degrees in Maine this morning. Cold but not too windy. It's the wind that gets you. Quote
Scott Dolan Posted January 31, 2019 Report Posted January 31, 2019 Our low was -4 yesterday. Currently 4 degrees, which is as high as we’ve seen over the last 36 hours. Also got an inch of super slick, dry, powdery snow last night. There were wrecks everywhere as it was not in the forecast and peaked at drive time. Quote
paul secor Posted January 31, 2019 Report Posted January 31, 2019 At least the sun is out here. Makes it seem less cold. Quote
stephenrr Posted January 31, 2019 Report Posted January 31, 2019 It warmed up to -16 this morning but the wind has calmed significantly. 30 MPH gusts Wednesday brought wind chill to -50 during the day. Cabin fever is rising...looking forward to Monday when high is anticipated to be 51. Quote

Still had wind chills of -20 yesterday, but it could have been a LOT worse. I also got a kick out of how many news outlets were posting pics of the Chicago River yesterday as though it looked different from every other river in the midwest, with ice floes galore. I live on the Missouri River and it looked the exact same way. But I get it, Jefferson City, MO ain't sexy. Quote
sidewinder Posted January 31, 2019 Report Posted January 31, 2019 - 6C driving past Stonehenge this morning. Snowstorm coming in tonight. Quote
kinuta Posted February 1, 2019 Report Posted February 1, 2019 7C here with blue skies. The wind makes it feel quite a bit colder. Quote
