This can be a pretty lousy time of year here, but I have had two near-perfect weeks in Sierra Leone and Liberia - 36C and humid, but few flooding rains.  And it's looking good for my return to N'Djamena, 41C but 24C evenings .  (Yeah, I'm happier warm than cold.)

Blowing a gale but chilly for central Florida!

(Low to mid-60s until Monday, lows under 50 with one night expected to go under 40).

It’s coming in here from the SW Atlantic system so Florida is to blame ! :D

12” of snow so far here in mid Missouri, with snow continuing through midnight. 15-20” expected.

Will it be snowing for the game today?

Pretty chilly right now: 24F (-4 C).  It's suppose to dip even more tomorrow and most of next week.  Doesn't look like we get any of this massive blizzard hitting parts of the US.  It might snow on Friday.

Our low was -4 yesterday. Currently 4 degrees, which is as high as we’ve seen over the last 36 hours.

Also got an inch of super slick, dry, powdery snow last night. There were wrecks everywhere as it was not in the forecast and peaked at drive time.

It warmed up to -16 this morning but the wind has calmed significantly.  30 MPH gusts Wednesday brought wind chill to -50 during the day.  Cabin fever is rising...looking forward to Monday when high is anticipated to be 51.

We got lucky because the wind died down about the time we got below 20 degrees. Still had wind chills of -20 yesterday, but it could have been a LOT worse.

I also got a kick out of how many news outlets were posting pics of the Chicago River yesterday as though it looked different from every other river in the midwest, with ice floes galore. I live on the Missouri River and it looked the exact same way. But I get it, Jefferson City, MO ain't sexy.
