AndrewHill Posted August 9, 2007 Report Posted August 9, 2007 Still hot and humid, but with rain now. Quote
MoGrubb Posted August 9, 2007 Report Posted August 9, 2007 It was 101 about an hour ago, it's supposed to hit 105 today. I've never ever experienced heat like this. Quote
sidewinder Posted August 9, 2007 Report Posted August 9, 2007 97% humidity Yuck ! Hate those high humidities.. Around 20C and fairly clear skies over here - high pressure system from Africa, the usual Summer conditions. A bit of stability after the recent deluge. Quote

MoGrubb Posted August 10, 2007 Report Posted August 10, 2007 It's hotter than a New Orleans hooker at Republican caucus... It hit 107 yesterday according to the am paper. I registered only 105 in the yard. It was still the hottest weather that I've experience in my 60+ years of existence. Quote

NaturalSoul Posted August 11, 2007 Report Posted August 11, 2007 the rain stopped and it's HOT. and i'm heading to phoenix today. Quote
AndrewHill Posted August 11, 2007 Report Posted August 11, 2007 Temps climbing back into the 80's already, and its getting hot! Quote
Joe G Posted August 24, 2007 Report Posted August 24, 2007 (edited) It's been warm and a bit muggy all day. But right now, just when I should be leaving work on my bike, a pretty ferocious line of thunderstorms is moving into the area, replete with a tornado watch. I think I'll let this one pass before heading out. Edited August 24, 2007 by Joe G Quote
Joe G Posted August 24, 2007 Report Posted August 24, 2007 Yeah - it's getting pretty wild and wholly out there. Quote
Joe G Posted August 24, 2007 Report Posted August 24, 2007 Goddam! The tornado is apparently up in the air about a mile from my house! Quote
Noj Posted August 24, 2007 Report Posted August 24, 2007 Yeah - it's getting pretty wild and wholly out there. That's better than having it partially indoors! It's so nice out here it's probably rude to share. Quote
NaturalSoul Posted August 24, 2007 Report Posted August 24, 2007 was around 99 the other day, feels just as hot today. Quote
The Magnificent Goldberg Posted August 25, 2007 Report Posted August 25, 2007 Three days of hot weather here and it feels like sommer's back (for a bit). MG Quote
paul secor Posted August 25, 2007 Report Posted August 25, 2007 Supposed to be very hot & humid today. Not complaining tho, after seeing what's happened in the midwest. Quote
T.D. Posted August 25, 2007 Report Posted August 25, 2007 We've had relatively few super hot/humid days this summer (in fact, it's been quite a good season in the Catskill region of NY), but the past 3 days have been really horrible. Particularly the humidity. Fortunately, it's supposed to break tonight. Quote
Matthew Posted August 25, 2007 Report Posted August 25, 2007 Looking out my window, sky is covered with clouds, temp is 66. Quote
MoGrubb Posted August 25, 2007 Report Posted August 25, 2007 (edited) 97 a few minutes ago. It's supposed to top out at 99. The humidity is down somewhat, probably lower/mid 60s which makes the heat bearable. I haven't turned on the ac yet. It's only about 84 in the house. When it hits 85+ I'll turn it on. Joe G Posted October 19, 2007 Report Posted October 19, 2007 Kinda wild. The tornado sirens sounded an hour or so ago, so I went outside to check the sky. The big storm was off to the north, rising from the treeline to partially obscure the Big Dipper. Occasional flashes of lightning lit up the entire cloud mass. To the south, the moon (and Venus) was being overtaken by another storm moving northeast. Directly above was a clear sky, replete with the Summer Triangle. A meteor streaked overhead. Wind seemed to be blowing almost due north, though I can't be sure of that. The relative calm that prevailed then has ended, as I believe the southern storm has arrived. A scary-strong gust of wind just passed through. Temps are warm. So there you have it. Quote
Tim McG Posted October 19, 2007 Report Posted October 19, 2007 Just under 70 here. Low 40s tonight. Quote
