97% humidity

Yuck ! Hate those high humidities..

Around 20C and fairly clear skies over here - high pressure system from Africa, the usual Summer conditions. A bit of stability after the recent deluge.

It's hotter than a New Orleans hooker at Republican caucus...

:D

It hit 107 yesterday according to the am paper. I registered only 105 in the yard. It was still the hottest weather that I've experience in my 60+ years of existence.

It's been warm and a bit muggy all day. But right now, just when I should be leaving work on my bike, a pretty ferocious line of thunderstorms is moving into the area, replete with a tornado watch. I think I'll let this one pass before heading out.

Yeah - it's getting pretty wild and wholly out there.

That's better than having it partially indoors! ;)

It's so nice out here it's probably rude to share.

We've had relatively few super hot/humid days this summer (in fact, it's been quite a good season in the Catskill region of NY), but the past 3 days have been really horrible. Particularly the humidity. Fortunately, it's supposed to break tonight.

97 a few minutes ago. It's supposed to top out at 99. The humidity is down somewhat, probably lower/mid 60s which makes the heat bearable. I haven't turned on the ac yet. It's only about 84 in the house. When it hits 85+ I'll turn it on.

Kinda wild. The tornado sirens sounded an hour or so ago, so I went outside to check the sky. The big storm was off to the north, rising from the treeline to partially obscure the Big Dipper. Occasional flashes of lightning lit up the entire cloud mass. To the south, the moon (and Venus) was being overtaken by another storm moving northeast. Directly above was a clear sky, replete with the Summer Triangle. A meteor streaked overhead. Wind seemed to be blowing almost due north, though I can't be sure of that.

The relative calm that prevailed then has ended, as I believe the southern storm has arrived. A scary-strong gust of wind just passed through.

Temps are warm.

So there you have it.
