Free For All Posted December 5, 2007 Report Posted December 5, 2007 So did any of our board members from the northwest have any problems with the nasty superstorm out there? Quote
AndrewHill Posted December 5, 2007 Report Posted December 5, 2007 Snowing here in Northeast Ohio. Quote
rachel Posted December 6, 2007 Report Posted December 6, 2007 So did any of our board members from the northwest have any problems with the nasty superstorm out there? My brother and sister-in-law live in English Hill in Redmond and have been very fortunate. There is flooding all around them, but their house is at the top of a hill and has withstood the storms well. Their already difficult commute into Seattle has been miserable, but it could be much worse for them. Quote
MoGrubb Posted December 6, 2007 Report Posted December 6, 2007 Colder'n shit here. Supposed to get to only 49 degrees today, w/a low of 31 tonight. But that's OK, because I'm just rolling in money for heating oil... Quote
JohnS Posted December 6, 2007 Report Posted December 6, 2007 Pretty wild in the south of England. Low cloud, strong winds, squally rain. Quote
Tim McG Posted December 7, 2007 Report Posted December 7, 2007 Rain tonight and in the 40s....but that's OK. We Californians are desperate for precipitation. Quote
sidewinder Posted December 7, 2007 Report Posted December 7, 2007 Pretty wild in the south of England. Low cloud, strong winds, squally rain. No kidding, John. Thought my roof was blowing off this morning at 4am - a bit worrying to say the least. Quote
ASNL77 Posted December 7, 2007 Report Posted December 7, 2007 Pretty wild in the south of England. Low cloud, strong winds, squally rain. No kidding, John. Thought my roof was blowing off this morning at 4am - a bit worrying to say the least. Same here. A lot of wind last night. The weather has been disgusting for the last two weeks. Pouring down and very windy. Quote
sidewinder Posted December 7, 2007 Report Posted December 7, 2007 (edited) I think the roof is still on. Just off to check.. Looks like a lot more of the same is 'scheduled' for tomorrow so I can see another Mosaic Day coming up. :rsmile: Edited December 7, 2007 by sidewinder Quote
The Magnificent Goldberg Posted December 7, 2007 Report Posted December 7, 2007 Poured and galed (?) all day yesterday. Just about drying up this morning. No gale damage but still extremely windy. And the forecast is more the same pretty well, until Monday. MG Quote
sidewinder Posted December 7, 2007 Report Posted December 7, 2007 Well, the roof's still on but the composter nearly blew over the hedge ! Quote

MoGrubb Posted December 8, 2007 Report Posted December 8, 2007 It's supposed to warm up to 71 w/a low of 59 tonight. I think the roller coaster weather is caused mostly by the jet stream's fluctuation. NC seems to be in its margin of flux. Quote
AndrewHill Posted December 8, 2007 Report Posted December 8, 2007 Its going to warm up here too! Quote
The Magnificent Goldberg Posted December 9, 2007 Report Posted December 9, 2007 Still gales and pouring rain. 70mph in Swansea, down the road a bit from here. Mudslides in the valleys around here. Floods around here too. Supposed to let up here about 6pm today. Forecast for tomorrow is sunny! MG Quote
The Magnificent Goldberg Posted December 12, 2007 Report Posted December 12, 2007 Three sunny, but cold, days on the trot! Very nice indeed! MG Quote
MoGrubb Posted December 12, 2007 Report Posted December 12, 2007 It's already a sunny 76; supposed to reach 81 tomorrow. I wish it'd rain. We're in the midst of a serious drought. Quote
