  1. Los Angeles Jazz Institute released 6-CD set titled "The Complete Crazy Sunday at the Lighthouse" September 13, 1953. Howard Rumsey's Lighthouse All-Stars. Many previously unreleased songs. Great notes by Ken Poston.
  2. Blue Note is not the only label not to release CDs of some of its LPs. Columbia (Sony) has yet to release two Dave Brubeck LPs on CD- "Last Time We Saw Paris " and "Compadres".
  3. Bump. Dave Brubeck Last Time We Saw Paris and Compadres.
  4. No jazz. Hoped for Brubeck "The Last Time We Saw Paris".
  5. I have tried to contact the Brubeck family through their website with no response. Is there another way to contact them?
  6. Brubeck had a problem with Paul Desmond during the Paris session and embargoed a CD release. Have no idea why Compadres was not reissued as a CD.
  7. Still hoping for Brubeck "Compadres" and "Last Time We Saw Paris" on CD. Released on LPs but never on Columbia or Sony CDs.
  8. I would also like a copy of this article.
  9. Looking for Transition TRLP-18 "Jazz Downbeat" by Jay Migliori. It is listed in the Lord Discography.
  10. Bump. Maybe 2025 will be my lucky year by finding TRLP-18!
  11. I have the 2002 Blue Note RVG 2-CD set released by the Japanese. Excellent sounds.
  12. Bump. Still hoping for these 2 CDs.
  13. Could very well be that the 3 tracks were the only ones usable and did not warrant the release of TRLP-8.
