Not Sirone...

Shazam did not solve this. Is that an accordion?

This was my parents’ LP. It still sounds really good considering all it has been throughfour -kids playing it on Dad’s AR turntable- and I love the music. Dave Brubeck Quartet “Bossa Nova USA” Columbia stereo LP

Dave Brubeck Quartet “Jazz Impressions of Eurasia” Columbia mono LP This sounds really good in mono.

It’s cold right now, but should be 71 today, so more spring-like than the weekend. I’m starting off with Louis Armstrong on Chronogical Classic “1944-1946” which is an awesome disc with V-Disk, Decca and Victor sides in excellent sound.

Sirone? He's the first one I thought at bowed bass, but probably not because I don't remember him playing with another bassist on any record I own.

BGO did a true public service when they reissued all the Vertigo label Nucleus albums and the EMI Columbia label Rendell Carr Quintet albums. But they also re-issued albums by other major British players such as Graham Collier, Mike Gibbs, John McLaughlin, John Surman, Mike Westbrook and Kenny Wheeler / John Dankworth. An invaluable label.

Heading into the final days here. For track 6, one of the musicians went on to record their most well known music using an alias.
