I think you meant a faster tape speed would = more tape/second.

What Jim said. KB is arguing that 7.5 inches of tape is more tape than 15 inches of tape. When you see 911 recordings the tapes move super slow - because they are maximizing capacity of reels / efficiency of recording calls.

I don't think so...15 inches of tape is more than 7.5 inches of tape, right? A slower tape speed gives you more total capacity, but that's because you're using less tape per song (or whatever).

Some photos of Buster: with Herbie Hancock & Billy Hart I'm sure that many of you have already seen it, but I'd be remiss if I didn't recommend Buster's documentary: Buster Williams Bass to Infinity.

Managed to get out to see Gary on Wed. night, even though the weather was pretty lousy. It was a very small crowd - maybe 20 people, but they played their hearts out anyway. Will be going back on Sat. and the vibe will surely be livelier.

Chico Freeman - Peaceful Heart, Gentle Spirit (Contemporary, 1980) I recently bought some new speakers, and this is one of the LPs that I brought to the hi-fi shop to the try out various models. I know this LP inside-out, and the AQ is outstanding.
