I have to admit, based on what showed up from Nagel Heyer (on iTunes etc.) I assumed it was just another one of the PD labels muddying the waters, and that still seems to be the majority of its newest releases. I only just found out that it does put out legitimate releases of new music. The one that caught my attention first was Marc Copland & Greg Osby – Round & Round. Copland and Osby also have a CD called Night Call, but I haven't heard that. I do wish there was a simple way to sort through their various releases and figure out what is a new release and what is repacked PD material.

Week 16 picks https://doorfliesopen.com/2025/09/18/cfl-beat-249/ My picks... Alouettes over Argonauts - The Argos are starting Jarret Doege. Stampeders over Lions - The Stamps are the better team, and BC will be missing their running back James Butler. Redblacks over Blue Bombers - The Bombers are starting Streveler. Tiger-Cats over Elks - The Elks could do it, but I expect the Ticats to prevail at home. ***** Playoff Scenarios https://www.cfl.ca/2025/09/18/112th-grey-cup-playoff-scenarios-ticats-seek-playoff-berth/ ***** Game Notes https://www.cfl.ca/2025/09/18/game-notes-what-you-need-to-know-ahead-of-week-16/ ***** Week 16 previews https://www.cfl.ca/2025/09/18/4-storylines-to-watch-in-week-16/ https://www.cfl.ca/2025/09/18/3-keys-to-victory-for-montreal-toronto-in-week-16/ https://cflnewshub.com/cfl-news/montreal-alouettes-6-7-week-16-preview-vs-toronto-argonauts-5-8-prediction-depth-chart-injuries-odds/ https://www.cfl.ca/2025/09/18/3-keys-to-victory-for-calgary-bc-in-week-16/ https://www.cfl.ca/2025/09/18/james-butler-out-for-lions-vs-stampeders/ https://3downnation.com/2025/09/18/cfl-leading-rusher-james-butler-top-left-tackle-jarell-broxton-out-for-b-c-lions-against-stamps/ https://cflnewshub.com/cfl-news/game-preview-bc-lions-6-7-at-calgary-stampeders-8-4/ https://cflnewshub.com/cfl-news/bombers-quarterback-woes-grow-as-streveler-is-taking-1st-team-reps-even-after-his-last-game/ ***** Season review - Top 10 Dramatic Wins https://www.cfl.ca/2025/09/18/10-most-dramatic-wins-of-the-2025-season-so-far/ ***** *****

Last night at Roulette John Zorn’s Cobra the 4th time I’ve seen it over the past 2-3 years. As good as ever. Best performers Ches Smith (as always) although he was stage right while I was front row 2 seats from Zorn’s prompting position center stage. Simon Hanes, John Medeski, Kenny Wolleson, Billy Martin, Wendy Eisenberg were very effective. Cool to have Medeski’s Hammond B3 (with the big Leslie rotating amp) right next to Martin. The bassists were both great as well, Jorge Roeder & Henry Fraser as well as the cellist, Jay Campbell. SO much fun. The musicians & crowd love it. -

78 rpm lawsuit finally settled

Read the article but remain unclear as to what this means for the project. Maybe I missed something in the article? -
With an hour to go the match ended in a draw. I think Lestershire could have won. With 12 overs to go Middlesex needed ad least 6 runs per over. Doable but not impossible. This was my first visit to a countyshampionship match. Mixed feelings with so much time lost to rain. Next year I plan one earlier in the year. Maybe Yorkshire.

Listened to the entire disc of this concert yesterday. Absolutely magnificent. I think it's actually the strongest of the three available 1961 concerts. The Graz show was before the Bremen and Stuttgart shows—this trio was on fire from the start. The Tübingen concert needs to be released! Jimmy Giuffre 3: Live In Tübingen, 1961

In Discogs some people rate pressing quality instead of the music. I could imagine that!

#1-6 originally released as Purdie Good! (Prestige 10013), 7-12 originally released as Shaft (Prestige 10038)

Suprisingly amusing album indeed full of expertise ! It rates pretty low on Discogs maybe because it is uptempo stuff.
