More snow, and our furnace is acting funky; beyond my ability to solve though I’ve kept it going with frequent visits to the root cellar. Waiting on a service call back. Continuing on with my Yes re-visit with “Anderson Bruford Wakeman Howe”

I would think a Christmas delivery unlikely.

Opinions on this one? I'm still a Kenton neophyte. Listening to this album right now. I like it so far!

What Christmas music are you playing?

Much agreed. When I was younger, I couldn't get with Joe's backing on this record. I "only" liked his solos. Thankfully, I grew up (some) and started hearing the whole record. I wonder what Joe thought of his 70's records; there's probably an interview out there somewhere. Dig the In Japan photo without text!

Have them all, but some of my very favorite Lacys are here, in fact maybe almost all of them! The Door, Cliches, The Rent, Blinks, Sorite/Disposibility, The Way, Beat Suite, Evidence .... doesn't get much better. -

V-Disc Big Band Set Is Coming!!!

Is Santa gonna be able to deliver this on Christmas, or am I going to have to wait until January for a birthday gift? -

Oh yes Both excellent Milestone records. Top notch Joe.

would be easy enough to do the Japanese Victors as 4 CDs, right? Two solos, the date with Peacock, the date with Hino, Tokyo Bound, and maybe Spanish Bitch could be included if there's room? Don't forget Bill! FWIW, bassist Kiyoshi Tokunaga, who worked with Giuffre, is also on the Curran LP. He also played drums and trumpet, and I believe is/was mostly based out of Seattle. Not sure if he is still alive.

Among the later Milestones, Canyon Lady is also tremendous, IMO.

ESP at least included the year and month, but it would be nice to know specific days/dates as well. -

Yeah, definitely in the NYAQ era. The photos are hard to find but I've seen a few. The verso of Mohawk kind of shows the white face paint, but it's not a very clear photo.
