Jonathan Blake’s “Homeward Bound” on Blue Note. 495×400 91.7 KB A fascinating disc with a rich tapestry of sound created by a great crew: Acoustic Bass – Dezron Douglas Alto Saxophone – Immanuel Wilkins Drums, Cymbal – Johnathan Blake Piano, Keyboards – David Virelles Vibraphone – Joel Ross This was one of the first albums where I realized that Wilkins and Ross were young masters to be followed.

  13. Well, even though they're out on CD/LP elsewhere some of them can be pretty expensive. I went for this just to knock out all of that and get the booklet and improved sound. If you're going to break your no physical media pledge, this is a good one to do that for.

  16. Thought I’d better tell all yinz — we’re officially in Pittsburgh nah. Drove up from DC Tue night — and the truck (and movers) with our stuff followed yesterday (all unloaded by 1:30pm). Our new adventure has begun!
