I've always used the hard K instead of the 'kw' sound but how did Percy say it?

The only correctly reissue this materials is on actual 45s.

I'd love to hear the quintet session with Marion Brown if it survived.

Has it ever been discussed or confirmed the proper pronunciation of Quebec? (Spoiler: there's a recording of Percy France saying his name so I do have good authority as to proper pronunciation.)

Thanks for the reminder on this, I need to buy it

Kevin Bresnahan replied to Dan Gould's topic in Re-issues
The new reissue is the same as the double CD. Just a different cover. The track order is the same for disc 1, shuffled a bit for disc 2: CD1 1. A Light Reprieve 2. Buzzard Lope 3. Blue Monday 4. Zonky 5. Later For The Rock 6. Sweet And Lovely 7. Dear John 8. Blue Friday 9. Everything Happens To Me [Short Version] 10. Mardi Gras 11. What A Difference A Day Makes 12. For All We Know 13. Ill Wind CD2 1. If I Could Be With You (One Hour Tonight) 2. I've Got The World On A String 3. Me 'N Mabe 4. Everything Happens To Me [Long Version] 5. How Long Has This Been Going On 6. With A Song In My Heart 7. Imagination 8. What Is There To Say? 9. There Is No Greater Love 10. All Of Me 11. Intermezzo 12. But Not For Me 13. All The Way -
Yes, I don't care for Ahmed much at all. I like this one much more.

Ricky Ford “Ricky’s Choice” 32Jazz cd This is a compilation of tracks picked out by Ricky Ford from his releases on the Muse jazz label.

I'm interested in the Joe Henderson- Mosaic MD5-271 (725/2500). Unplayed. $80. Just want to verify that unplayed mean that the cds are in mint condition. Best, Manuel Dominguez

Neil Charles “Dark Days” Jazz Now cd I took a punt for one of the 500 cd copies of this work because it reflects a work by one of my favorite authors, James Baldwin. I’m glad I did. A writer said of this performance (it was recorded live) “It refuses comfort.” That’s likely true for most listeners. It is challenging and intriguing.

Pass, regardless of the 2 missing tracks. I have the Conn twofer and also rarely play it...lots of Ike recordings I go to far more often.
-
yeah, I have those LPs -- very strong. Though at this point the reissue market is bloated, those albums are certainly deserving.
-
If this CD set does not include the two missing tracks, I'm good with just keeping the 2005 2-CD set, which otherwise IMO is a perfect reissue.
