Starting the morining off with Andrew Hill's 2nd and 3rd run at BN:

There's no "fuss" really. I guess it's just about completeness. I would buy this new set if it had those two tracks. As it is now, I won't be buying it for the third time. I had the Mosaic set for years & upgraded to the Connoisseur 2-CD set when it came along. I see no reason to buy this new one at all. FWIW, they do belong on this new set and someone should have known this but, Blue Note lost that knowledge along the way. I'm surprised their Jazz Detective missed them.

Jerry Gonzalez “Rhumba Para Monk” Sunnyside cd I always forget what a powerful listen this album is, and how much I enjoy playing it. There was a time when I obsessed over this music! One day it would be great to have an audiophile release of this.

As far as I can see (Page 11 of the Lester Young Part 3 document) the basic info (dates, lineups, tunes) remains the same the for dates discussed above but he is more detailed in analyzing the contents of each tracks (solos, etc.). OTOH he does not list the track lengths or the record releases. So both sources together would give the best possible overview. And the descriptions of the solos should help clarifying which tune is from which date. So ... thanks for the link! I downloaded all 3 files "for future reference". And will certainly do so with others too.

This set is ok, I don't see the fuss about these two tracks, and I am ok with the Conn 45 sessions. These two tracks are not on my radar, and if I hear them, I'm going to believe that the Conn is still ok with me. FWIW, this is my go to Ike (KEEbec) record:

A good friend of mine back in 1989, who was a promoter at Warner Bros gave me these two promo posters, which I will someday put in a frame:

Yeah, the vocals. Weird. I know that name, Aebi, and that is a matter of taste. It's packed but I think I can obstensibly tolerate the late 70's Black Saint/Soul Note material, e.g.,
