  4. Well it just so happens that I felt inspired to put together a list of what the next 20 years could look like. I tried to keep with the spirit of the original list, and used only vinyl or cassette releases that came out between 1981-2001: Brötzman/Miller/Moholo Opened … But Hardly Touched FMP 1981 Wally Shoup & Ross Rabin Scree-Run Waltz Too Sound 1981 Tristan Honsinger/Steve Beresford/Toshinori Kondo/David Toop Imitation of Life Y 1981 Glenn Spearman Night After Night Musa-Physics 1981 Billy Bang Changing Seasons Bellows 1981 Keizo Inoue In Moers '81 Trio 1981 Christoph Anders/Heiner Goebbels/Alfred Harth/Paul Lovens/Rolf Riehm/Annemarie Roelofs Es Herrscht Uhu Im Land Japo 1981 Pierre Favre/Léon Francoli/Michel Portal Arrivederci Le Chouartse Hat Hut 1981 Horace Tapscott Sextet Dial 'B' For Barbara Nimbus West 1981 Donald Ayler In Florence 1981 Vol. 1/Vol. 2/Vol. 3 Frame 1981 Richard Dunbar Clear-Eyed Vision Jahari 1981 Toyozumi Unit The Masterpiece Alm-Uranoia 1981 Burton Greene & Alan Silva The Ongoing Strings Hat Hut 1981 Joe McPhee Oleo Hat MUSICS 1982 Paul Flaherty/Froc Flipetti/Bill Wallach Trinity Symphony - 1982 Han Bennink Tempo Comodo Data 1982 Alan Silva Celestrial Communications Orchestra Desert Mirage IACP 1982 Bill Dixon November 1981 Soul Note 1982 Anthony Braxton & Richard Tietlbaum Open Aspects '82 Hat Art 1982 Akira Sakata Trio Dance Enja 1982 Air 80° Below 82 Antilles 1982 Steve Lacy Feat. 5. They're playing here in March - BUT it now says the group is Ben Monder & Chris Cheek, not Potter & Taborn.
  6. Yesterday afternoon, as part of the Tucson Jazz Festival ,saw Jeremy Pelt guest artist with the University of Arizona Studio Jazz Band.
  7. You may be able to find more affordable options from labels like Telarc or Naxos. IMO, I find them to be very enjoy enjoyable.
  8. Here in NW New Jersey near Morristown, about two or three inches so far I’d say.
  9. I joined April 29th 2003 and was also on the BN board before that. Don't post much though, too busy listening to music. I'm nearly 80 though so who knows for how long
  10. Today
  11. Looks like about 6" so far, and it is snowing heavily.
  12. It’s great indeed 🥰
  13. Saw Tony Kofi play a couple of nights ago. Gig was in a community arts space in North London that I'd never heard of but has been there for twenty years. Run by great friendly people and fantastic vegan food. Henry Lowther sitting in for a couple of tunes was a bonus. I've been a bit slow to pick up on how great Tony's playing is but have seen him a few times over the past 12 months and he's played a blinder every time.
  14. Duke Ellington “Jazz Party in Stereo” Columbia stereo LP Timeless beauty in these grooves.
  15. Jimmy Rowles, to me the pianist with the most perfect subtle timing.
  16. Waiting for the storm to come. . . we haven’t had much at all so far. Hope we don’t lose power! That’s my biggest fear. I’m stocked up and will deal with the shoveling in shifts. . . just hope to keep the household calm. Starting off with a nice Eliane Elias cd, “Everything I Love” on Blue Note. 300×296 8.84 KB
  17. Franui - Schubertlieder (ColLegno)
