  1. Past hour
  2. E3 Records was a legit label that released at least two CDs of Bill Evans’ early recordings.
  3. Hopefully NOT! What could be better than an artist keeping us up on their latest recordings. Based on the tracks available for streaming it seems like the new one, on a few tracks, takes some steps in a direction Vijay Iyer and Mike Ladd explored with their three collaborations.
  4. Today
  5. Now on to LP 2 of Lucky Thompson's Illuminations with Cedar Walton, Sam Jones, and Louis Hayes originally released as I Offer You Equally brilliant as Goodbye Yesterday!
  6. Um... what the heck is that? The thumb sets the perspective and from that, this is not a CD cover. Unless the person holding it climbed down a beanstalk.
  7. More Lucky Thompson: LP 1 of 2 - originally released as Goodbye Yesterday! with Cedar Walton, Larry Ridley, and Billy Higgins Tremendous.
  8. the way I understand it is that the practical side of things is still very much in the air - which is exactly the reason why the European postal services stopped shipping now, they just don't know how it works.
  9. Eric Alexander & Vincent Herring - Split Decision (Smoke Sessions) Great new recording with Eric & Vincent going at it again.
  10. But even if you find a shipper, isn't there still a tariff? And how do you pay it? When the package is delivered? Will you have to go to a customs house to get it and pay the tariff?
  11. yeah, DHL, FedEx, UPS will continue to deliver, but at a significant upcharge. Paying $30 to ship a $15 CD becomes completely unworkable after a few instances (I've definitely been there).
  12. It's all very confusing but from what I'm seeing it sounds like DHL is still an option. I prefer not to order from overseas myself, but the vast majority of new CDs I buy are from European labels, so I wonder how this will affect their ability to send stock to US retailers.
  13. yes. My undies are in a bunch trying to figure out how to get LPs shipped here without it being a complete mess. The only real option I see is having stuff sent to Canada and then here, but there'll still be a duty and double shipping costs (potentially) so probably not worth it in the end.
  14. Does the end of the de minimus tariff exemption mean that CDJapan and other foreign outlet shipping costs, with the extra duty imposed, will now make it unfeasible for USA customers to order from them? I'm no tariff lawyer, but what I'm reading doesn't sound good.
  15. It's the first year of the Fat Bob, 2008. Has nearly 50,000 on it now.
  16. Beautiful machine! What your is it and how many miles have you ridden?
  17. From the “Enjoying the Ride” 60th Anniversary box set. Grateful Dead, Greek Theatre, University of California, Berkeley, CA (7/13/84), disc 2 320×214 30.4 KB
