You can easily judge by yourself 😜, as the full show is already available on YouTube (see below). From my perspective, it was a good concert, particularly from a visual perspective, also sound wise. And with the plus of being sort of a mythical “comeback”. From a musical standpoint, it was a good mix of pop-rock oriented songs (which I like most, particularly their first three discs) and those heavy rhythms and hypnotic electronic riffs, which, in the latter case, sounded too powerful and abstract for my taste. And no “Creep”, as expected. All in all, I enjoyed the show. Although I would very much prefer a REM comeback 😜 (which is as likely as the return of the dinosaurs 🦕). BTW, the stadium was packed, and this was just the first of four shows in Madrid.

Shit! I just noticed this. He was great. I really missed him when he stopped posting. Now aI guess I'll never be able to thank him for all the knowledge he brought here.

He's very good. I've seen him a number of times with the SFJAZZ Collective, including this past Sunday.

That whole session is so good but Vienna stands out for me.

Colts going for broke this year with the trade for Sauce. Seattle's going for it too. Going to be interesting down the stretch to see who can wrap up these playoff spots. And massive respect for Joe Flacco. Probably the right move for the Browns ultimately, but giving him over to a division rival and then seeing him do this has to be tough.

On reaching his plane seat a man is surprised to see a parrot strapped in next to him. He asks the stewardess for a coffee whereupon the parrot squawks, 'And get me a coke, you cow!' The stewardess, flustered, brings back a coke for the parrot and forgets the coffee. When this omission is pointed out to her, the parrot drains its glass and bawls 'And get me another coke dogface!' Quite upset, the girl comes back shaking with another coke but still no coffee. Unaccustomed to such slackness the man tries the parrot's approach. 'I've asked you twice for a coffee! Go and get it now you old goat!' The next moment both he and the parrot have been wrenched up and thrown out of the emergency exit by two burly stewards. Plunging downwards the parrot turns to him and says, 'For someone who can't fly, you've got guts!'

So very, very sorry to hear this sad news.

Saw and enjoyed "One Battle After Another." Going to see "Blue Moon" tonight.
