Tony Tuff's Wha we a go do Sly on drums (RIP). Amazing album that VP just reissued, digitizing it for the first time. Been a reggae fan for decades now and have never seen this one before. Better late than never. -

I am a Prime member and amazon works out well for me price wise. -
Very sad. Rest in peace to one of the last of the hero era.

Been hot and cold with Ornette in the post Science Fiction years. Have not played this one in almost a decade. I'll break it out. NP

Leroy Smart's Musical Don: https://leroysmart.bandcamp.com/album/musical-don From '88. Recently remastered by Crucial Bunny. Steely & Clevie involved, as was Jackie Mittoo. Unexpected quality on this one. Definitely recommend if you dig reggae and don't mind/enjoy that 80s Jamaican sound. -

Zev's RSD Releases - Jamal, Lateef, Henderson & Petrucciani
tranemonk replied to Harbour's topic in New Releases
Hey all.. came across these being listed on Bandcamp and a few other places. I thought I'd share the info. I ordered a copy of the Jamal, Lateef and Henderson on importcds (a little cheaper). The Petrucciani (frustratingly) appears to only be a European release. Any thoughts about any of these? https://yuseflateeflive.bandcamp.com/album/alight-upon-the-lake-live-at-the-jazz-showcase https://ahmadjamallive.bandcamp.com/album/at-the-jazz-showcase-live-in-chicago https://joehendersonlive.bandcamp.com/album/consonance-live-at-the-jazz-showcase https://malwaldronlive.bandcamp.com/album/stardust-starlight-live-at-the-jazz-showcase https://www.elemental-music.com/jazz-treasures/4942--michel-petrucciani-kuumbwa-8435395505113.html -

This is exciting! Storyville is a first-class operation. So, yes, this new release should have liner notes & discographical details. -
