  2. Doctor Jazz FW c40155 - Don Sebesky " Moving Lines" - rec. 1984 - Engineering: Jim Czak/John Post/Noah Evans
  3. Me too.
  4. Regarding EU orders, CDjapan offers the option the import taxes either to be charged at paid by the buyer at check out, or *not* to be charged at check out (and in this case the package will/may be subject to customs clearance). I always choose the latter and shipping with the Japanese Postal services, because in this way the customs clearance and delivery will be done by the Greek postal services, while DHL/UPS et al. charge crazy handling fees on top of the legal import tax. Wouldn't this work with shipments to USA as well?
  5. After some (re)listening, I'd likely rate their first album -- Catalyst (Cobblestone, 1972) -- as their second strongest LP after Perception. It's available on YT. Listen for yourself and let me know if you agree!
  6. I'm sure I will.
  7. I hope you enjoy them!
  8. NP: Catalyst - The Funkiest Band You Never Heard (32 Groove, rel. 1999) Disc 1 - Originally released as 2 LPs: Catalyst (Cobblestone, 1972) and Unity (Muse, 1974)
  9. Today
  10. Sorry @Rooster_Ties, I'd have to listen to all four of them again to offer an informed opinion. I only remember that I'd liked Perception best. That said, just about anything with Odean Pope is worth hearing, IMO.
  11. I was totally unaware of Catalyst before this thread appeared last night. QUESTION: What would be the second strongest of those four albums?? I streamed most of Perception on my walk into work this morning, and i was pretty much blown away by it — YOWZA!!
  12. Thanks for the tip. I'd known it was out there. . . but hadn't made an effort to get it. I'll correct that. I just ordered this, and "Voices."
  13. Ruby Braff & Bobby Donaldson too.
  14. I'm going to give that a listen. Thanks for the prompt. Are you familiar with this one, @jazzbo? It also features Marc Copland & Gary Peacock. While it's not exactly recent -- it's from 2006 -- it's a wonderful record.
  15. With Marc Copeland and Joey Baron. More and more I am amazed by the late Gary Peacock. He was an amazing technician and also so very lyrical and musical.
  16. Yes, and that's good to see. Between their in-house "Jazz Dispensary" series and Zev Feldman's reissues, it appears that (at least SOME) of the Muse catalog will be made available again. Yeah, that's an excellent set. Since I have it, I won't be ordering the vinyl. (The CDs are perfectly sufficient for me.) But I'm still glad that the vinyl issue will be available for others. Also, I think Perception is the strongest of the four albums in that set.
  17. Yes.
  18. Thanks a lot, mjzee! Lots of interesting music to come. Looking forward especially to the new Rich Perry album.
  19. Recency bias but Webb Crawford last night played as great on guitar as anyone I’ve ever seen. I’ve seen Webb many times over the past 2 years but last night Webb was driving that trio madly. 23, 12 & 13 minute improvisations. Wowza tonight Webb & Chuck duo trio with Michael Foster, Leila Boudreuil & Corsano Leila is an incredible cellist. This trio should be great. Early 6:00 gig in Brooklyn.
  20. O.K., regardless of what Lord says, if I got the above findings right, the session of 25 April 1952 should read like this in the discographies from now on ?
