  2. I don't get the love for Sauce Gardner. In 3 and a half years (55 games) he has 3 total interceptions. Even with him at CB, the Jets were 17-38. They're 0-7 this season. If the Colts don't use him right, he won't help them much. Even worse, in two seasons, his contract balloons to $21M (2027), then $26M (2028), and finally $31M (2029), $31M (2030). I certainly wouldn't give up 2 1st round picks for him.

  4. Probably arranged by either Charlie Palmieri, Tito Puente, Louis Ramirez, and/or Bobby Valentin. The info I have is from the back cover of the LP. You can see it here: https://elusivedisc.com/celia-cruz-son-con-guaguanco-180g-lp/?srsltid=AfmBOoqXNVkgykFNvSF3SdvuzzlzKFoQn0e8Yfe6NNZ_rp8c_AJeHHVV
  5. Gambit released a cd with a 1961 concert, and it appeared in a multi cd set. https://www.discogs.com/release/2527819-John-Coltrane-Quintet-Featuring-Eric-Dolphy-The-1961-Helsinki-Concert https://www.discogs.com/master/1475753-John-Coltrane-European-Tour-1961 And there were several unofficial releases of a 1962 concert: https://www.discogs.com/master/2521384-John-Coltrane-Live-At-Kulttuuritalo-Helsinki-Finland-November-20-1962 https://www.discogs.com/release/20674114-John-Coltrane-Helsinki-1962
  6. All your praise really is prompting me to pull out some of my Bob Crosby vinyls to give them a spin again. And BTW I was really unaware the Bob Crosby band was so much of a comparatively unknown quantity with that many seasoned jazz collectors.
  7. To dry out from the complex sounds of Radiohead... back to basics!
  8. You can easily judge by yourself 😜, as the full show is already available on YouTube (see below). From my perspective, it was a good concert, particularly from a visual perspective, also sound wise. And with the plus of being sort of a mythical “comeback”. From a musical standpoint, it was a good mix of pop-rock oriented songs (which I like most, particularly their first three discs) and those heavy rhythms and hypnotic electronic riffs, which, in the latter case, sounded too powerful and abstract for my taste. And no “Creep”, as expected. All in all, I enjoyed the show. Although I would very much prefer a REM comeback 😜 (which is as likely as the return of the dinosaurs 🦕). BTW, the stadium was packed, and this was just the first of four shows in Madrid.
  9. Just got an e-mail from The Lost Recordings: John Coltrane: LIVE IN FINLAND 1961 • 1962. Is this really previously unreleased?
  10. Shit! I just noticed this. He was great. I really missed him when he stopped posting. Now aI guess I'll never be able to thank him for all the knowledge he brought here.
  11. He's very good. I've seen him a number of times with the SFJAZZ Collective, including this past Sunday.
  12. That whole session is so good but Vienna stands out for me.
  13. Yeah that’s a great one and he’s definitely on fire there. Can’t say I enjoy Ingrid Bergers screaming but I could listen beyond that
  14. Safe travels and good wording!
  15. Lockjaw & Shirley Scott's Prestige Cookbook collection. Track Smoke This is Shirley at her finest. What an intro.
  16. It will be the first time on the continent. I have played the worlds in Australia, Malaysia and England, all many years ago.
  17. Kynard's Your Mama Don't Dance Kynard's Woga. Breakbeats and then some
  18. Ronnie Cyber on bari, right? Who was the arranger?
  19. Nice. Ever been to Ghana before?
  20. Charles Kynard's Afro-disiac Probably not the last Kynard I play tonight.
  21. Colts going for broke this year with the trade for Sauce. Seattle's going for it too. Going to be interesting down the stretch to see who can wrap up these playoff spots. And massive respect for Joe Flacco. Probably the right move for the Browns ultimately, but giving him over to a division rival and then seeing him do this has to be tough.
  22. I'm headed to Accra, Ghana to play in the WESPAC championships Nov 12-16.
