  5. I was being facetious of course, but seeing these kind of collectors' prices when the artists were barely making a living is depressing. That True Blue price would have been a little under $700 in 1960. I doubt Tina made that much from sales of the LP in his lifetime.
  6. Looks to me as if this photo below was the source for the digital drawing. . . and the jaw area appears pretty much the same. . . .
  7. Eric Clapton And Steve Winwood – Live From Madison Square Garden https://www.discogs.com/release/187...Steve-Winwood-Live-From-Madison-Square-Garden CDs, Jewel Case and Booklet all M $20 shipped U.S.
  8. Seems like it's based on Free For All era Blakey, like a straight on image of the cover photo. But they did weird things with his chin/lines under his jaw.
  9. I agree that that is not really a good image of Blakey. That said, check out Oris watch company's "Art Blakey Limited Edition" watch.
  10. Christian Scott, Live at Newport
  11. So where DID the court ruling occur that Clifford_Thornton alluded to? 🤨
  12. This is mostly a European concept. I do not know if it has been adopted by the US courts.
  13. Fascinating documentary about one of the greatest scientists and explorers, Alexander von Humboldt.
  14. Now reduced to $22.50 Now reduced to $22.50, fwiw.
  15. Bob Dylan “The Bootleg Series Vol. 12 -1965-1966 The Cutting Edge Collector’s Edition” disc 15 “Oh Mama, can this really be the end?”
  16. posted in wrong thread.
  17. Lucy and I are finishing up Project Runway Season 6 (re-watch on her part) and the latest episode of the new season. I haven't been watching much TV otherwise. . . music has been reinforcing and sustaining me and I'm dedicating as much time as I can to that.
  18. Miles Davis “Sorcerer” Mobile Fidelity Labs SACD OMG, Tony Williams! I remember being so inspired by his playing when I first discovered this album decades ago–this is a great showcase for his amazing talent. (And also a testament to the excellent engineering on this album). 500×500 90.6 KB 640×520 129 KB
  19. I don't think it's much of a stretch to say that Wright's architectural designs venture into the "art" category. If anyone could patent "a look", it's his estate. In my view, whatever court ruled that an artist is due money when their art is re-sold, really screwed up. If it becomes the norm, I could easily see it spreading to other media. And since corporations were ruled to be "people" here in the US, they will go after the money wherever they can. I could easily see a big company going after the used market if this becomes the way of our courts.
