I have never listened to him on purpose. No judgement, just truth. In the late '60s he was a student at Indiana and a customer in my record store. I knew of him because his brother was in Blood, Sweat & Tears.

Back in the day I purchased Spotlite lps an eventually cds directly from him. Occasionally he'd put in a personal note. Sorry to hear of his disease and death.

The only vinyl I have played lately is to burn lp only releases to cd.

I was ready to post Frode Gjerstad and Paal Nilssen-Love and then I noticed it wasn't Norwegian Artists.

Steve is a friend and a "local" here in Buffalo. He also is in charge of the music programs at Hallwalls. I have seen many wonderful shows there.

Hard to tell what is out there and still survives. I have a couple of reels given me by Charlie Weeks (stock broker and JIC board member) from jazz fest at Bard College in 1958. Performers include Ran Blake, Kenny Dorham, Jon Mayer, Pete Laroca, Barry Miles, Perry Robinson, Chuck Israel and possibly a panel discussion with Martin Williams, John Hammond, Nesuhi Ertegun and Tom Dowd. Just a hint of shit our there.
