A word for the Plugged Nickle - from circa '64 through '68 I saw Miles Davis, Horace Silver, Wes Montgomery, Jimmy Smith, Thelonious Monk and John Coltrane (3 times). I am sure I am forgetting others. Too bad only Miles was recorded. What is now called the London House seems to be a Hilton property. The old structure is gone. 30 years ago the old building was a Burger King IIRC.

This discussion brought a bit of sadness - Horenstein invited me to London for the performance of the 7th under discussion.

Fine Konitz. I have that on vinyl - GFM Records out of Glasgow. Same "artwork".

I bought the Reprise records as they were issued and have a soft spot for the whole bunch. I was also catching the band "live" at the time as well.

I would grab the other 3 Reprise records first.
