  2. Bought this Crown lp in high school. Freshman year of college it was stolen. Later that year a chance encounter with Conte Candoli resulted in a new copy. A few years ago I sold the bulk of my lps to finance cd reissues of my catalog. On a return "back home" to pay tribute to my departed mother in law, I visited the local vinyl store/coffee shop and found this for about $6.

  6. This was originally issued on Interplay. Later they licensed it, along with some other titles, to Albert Marx at Discovery. I believe the owner of Interplay now lives in Japan so this is probably not a needle drop (unless he no longer has the tapes).
  7. Thanks to all. It was a fine day.
  8. He was a fascinating / complex player worth study and I need to spend time doing that.

  10. Listening to all the recordings, I feel they got tighter as the tour progressed. The selected recording is from 2 gigs after I heard them in Buffalo.
  11. Paul provides pleasure on demand. :-)
  12. Reed Johnson Reed Johnson Reid Johnson 3 folks I knew.
  13. FWIW, I had recordings from Houston, Philly and Baltimore to consider. I think all participants selected Baltimore.
  14. It is really amazing - no audience sounds intrude on the music and applause edited out at the end. I almost sounds like a studio recording.
  15. It will be out this Fall. Kevin Whitehead, who was at the concert, is writing the notes. You will not hear Leeway on this cd.
  16. Today we sent off the masters for production on Ira Sullivan's "Circumstantial" and the Hal Russell NRG Ensemble + Charles Tyler recordings. The Sullivan disc will include a wonderful 10 minute blues bonus and the Russell has 2 bonus tracks to complete the program started with the previous NRG cd. For future release we are working on a concert recording of the Bobby Bradford / Frode Gjerstad Quartet with Ingebrigt Håker Flaten and Frank Rosaly. It sounds wonderful to us! They recorded a few concerts and we have chosen the Baltimore concert for issue.
  17. Cash the check and be well.

  19. I am sure Muhal titled the date. The image contains (left to right) Muhal, Richarda and Peggy Abrams. Richarda is their daughter.
  20. Not a legal site if anyone cares anymore.
  21. Interesting - thanks.
