The version on the new set is the live recording. Duke's intro has been shortened so the times are different.

My 78s say so, but the sound suffers......Must say it is hard to tell about sound degradation on some Prestige 78s.

It was replaced with 5 million blogs and bit torrent sites. Taking it away was an even dumber move than letting it continue to operate...when the public gets the taste of something they will find other avenues to acquire the same content. It was too late then. The end results are killing me.

They might have changed the angle of the run-off groove to trigger the arm to retract. That's all I can think of.

The Webster is a wonderful collection of RCA material from Moten to Bryant to Ellington to Hampton, etc. Grab it even if you have the music other ways. I love this collection - played it last week.
