According to AMG he was born in 1921, so he was either 88 or 89.

Just received an email announcing he died this morning. Funeral arrangements pending, but probably next Tuesday. More info as it becomes available.
He was a fine musician and fine human.
This is Maggie. She was our last pet. When she died we decided no more for a while. She was a German shepherd basset mix. Her front legs were short and crooked. She could stand her ears up. She's now under our front lawn.
Some of the individual cds do have better sound, including the disc josber posted. You should get that one. BTW the art scans you posted were from a Columbia Record Club issue - notice the "crc" on the back.
